...

I have spoken directly with Blend about our images that were used. They were from our Legacy collection images that have been with us from the start and are no longer making sales.

...

Not true... I have one of my Blend images there that was uploaded in 2011 and is still making sales.
I guess I can kiss goodbye for future earnings from that image.

It's terrible for me... It's too depressing to look at the stat and I don't have the motivation to upload to them anymore.

Lisa, do they let you post a DVD like SV did?  That might be an easier way to get a big portfolio online.

I totally agree Sharpshot.  I had asked Brian early on about sending in DVD's, but there was never any follow up about that.  Too bad, because it would enable them to select what they want re: similars without making the inconvenient upload process even more difficult for contributors.

They way they are rejecting similars right now means that if they'd received DVDs, they would take less images from a set LOL.

I actually asked Brian about sending a DVD, as I also have close to 5,000 images, but he said no.

Yep... I didn't get that note, but I am getting rejections on images have sold well on other sites. I am also getting a lot of similar images rejections.

Well, I'm suspending my uploads until I see results.

The way that sales have plummeted at DT for me makes me think that all those admins at DT should be spending their time doing something a little more constructive!!

Can't agree more. It's a useless feature of the site that doesn't help any sales at all. Sales have gone down considerably for me since its peak in March.

Anybody getting charged for a fee when cashing out via Paypal? I was never charged before but for the last cashout, I was.

For a reliable answer: Did it ever occur to you to ask Canstock and PayPal for the answer? I would think that is the first place I would go for answers. No one here can reliably answer your question. Your profile here on MSG does not even show what country your dealing from.

If you'd ever tried to contact Canstock then you'd know... I'm just asking if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

No, I am talking about CanStockPhoto, not BigStock or DT.

I get payouts from CanStockPhoto every 2 months or so for a long time, and just recently, got it every month and only this month I was charged for a fee. I've been using the same Paypal account since I started microstock. So, definitely, it's coming from how CanStockPhoto sends the money out.

Veer / Re: Veer Marketplace Opens for Submissions!
« on: June 09, 2009, 10:02 »
Hi Everyone,

I received my password and account login information.  So far I've been able to go through the upload process without issue.  However, I noticed I have a limit of submitting 100 photos.  My question are:

1. How was this limit established?

2.  What happens when I have submitted over 100 images?

3.  Is this limit per day or per month or per?

4.  Will this limit change?

Thanks!

Hi sgcallaway1994 -

The default submission limit for accepted contributors is 100 files per week. This was established to help make sure that content moves through the queue efficiently. This threshold was established based upon polling on this site and elsewhere, as well as usability study feedback.

It's possible the limit may change in the future. For now we're going to make sure our systems are in good shape, and our editing team is up to speed.

- Brian

Hi Brian,

Is it possible to send DVDs? With the current limit, it would take me 1 year to get all my images on the site.

Thanks.

No, I'm referring to the step after clicking commercial RF Image and you get to the edit image page where you usually fill in the keywords,etc...

Keywords from IPTC are not there and the image preview is not there either.

Is it just me or the upload is broken? The images uploaded fine but no IPTC and the image preview is not available.

I am looking into this as well. I had to pay a substantial amount of self-employment tax for the 2008 tax return. Do you know any good websites that have good information on forming the S-corp?

Thanks,
Supri

I went through a site called floridaincorporationservice.com.  They were cheaper than legalzoom.com.  I don't know if they have branches for other states but they probably do.  And if not, legalzoom definitely does.

Perseus, what you are saying about the Canadian corporation sounds very similar to what I have been told about an S corp.  That is why I won't be subject to the Social Security taxes on the income, as it is considered investment income.  I will still have to pay the income taxes at my and my husband's personal rate, but saving on the SS tax is going to help out so much.

Not being an accountant I am a bit fuzzy on the details but I have talked to several tax pros and they seem to agree this is the way to go.

I figured I wasn't the only one in this boat.  The good news:  lots of us are earning money in microstock.  The bad news: wow those taxes come at you out of left field!!

Thanks! Please keep us posted.

If you're considering each of us owning our own site, then linking our whole community to each other, it could well work.

I think that is a great idea!!!

I have a huge surge on Photos.com download today, way more than usual. Perhaps those are the missing sales?
