Shutterstock (Wednesday) No sales today. This is very scary since it was my #1 earner. I just don't quite understand what's going on. I am very worried and just might have to concentrate on two microstock sites. Are you cutting back on sites instead uploading? Thanks for your time.

Shutterstock 70.7 Rating. With all the problems with uploading and sales, how can this rating be so high. (Over Fotolia) Am I missing something?

My Shutterstock sales have tanked. Only (2) downloads a day when I had 20-30. What happened? Is there a re-bound? Thanks.

I use to get 10--15 downloads a day on Shutterstock and now I'm only getting one or two a day. I'm worried. Should I be?

Bigstock uploading to (Web) has been broken for (4) months for me and has not been fixed. I have written support many many times and keep getting the run around.
Fellow photographers how are you uploading and should I just give up? Thanks.

I have never been sued, but I have friends who have. Two photographers and one attorney friends. They seem to not ever worry about the SUE word. They just say it's so common in the society that we live in even people in jail does it.
If you have or been close to hearing this awful scary word, how did you handle it. I'm asking because I took some photos at a public place which were not on the radar list and my camera was looked at and my smart card was removed by security and the guy told me. "You are so lucky, I might sue you but I won't this time." (New York wall Street and taxi cabs from the rear)
So, I guess we just live in a SUE society. Should I be afraid from now on to go outside and take pictures at a public place? Thanks.

Bigstock seem to not care about fixing the uploading to the web. I use Google Chrome like so many on this site and I will not change. It's going on three months now and it is still broken. How do you fellow photographers feel about this? Since you can't upload--can't make any sales. Thanks.
PS. It worked three months ago until they started messing with something that was working.

As I think about it when I look at the Istock site I think about about my great grandparents who were african american slaves who kept a diary of the daily day to day activities on the plantation. As slaves they were not allowed to learn how to read and were called boy and girl even though they were grown and had to answer without looking at the Massa eyes directly. In the process of clearing out their house after the death of both I discovered these documents and have kept them in a safe deposit box for years.
As a stock photographer for Istock for many years, I felt like I was stupid for accepting this "in the dark" punishment. I have a choice now to leave without being taken in the backyard and whipped, but Istock is trying to whip me mentally.
I will not accept this! Thanks for listening.

Do you fellow photographers think that Shutterstock will go back to the old Dashboard that was easy and worked so well? I had a dream last night that I woke up this morning turned on my computer and to my surprise the old Dashboard was there.
I hope that dream comes true.

I feel like I am in grade school like having the teacher say. "raise your hand if you have to go to the bathroom" It's plain stupid to work so hard and have your sales information removed from the bottom of the list. Are we in prison?

Alamy notified me that all 3,000+ of my images are poor discoverability.
What a shame and waste of time doing all that uploading and keywording!! Can you believe that?

I have never uploaded any images FTP on Bigstock. I see the three steps listed but how do you get the images from my harddrive. This sounds so elementary but I want to try it.
Someone please guide me on this one. I need step by step help especially on how to get my images from my hard drive. Thanks All.

Bigstock--I have written support and the answers has been. We know what the problem is and we are working on it. You would think by having their office in New York where all the tech people are and some without jobs could help solve this simple problem.
I stated in my last e-mail to them, when you walk down to Starbucks from your office you might see some jobless guys asking for money on the street willing to come back to your office in dirty clothes to fix this disaster immediately. Then when they fix the problem which has been lingering on for weeks offer them a job and fire . out the present programmers because they don't know what they are doing and should not be making these high paid salaries for a job not done. I think President Trump will be cutting back the waste from corporations who has that good ole boys network and paid family members as employees. Of course, he can do that because his kids are responsible and all have a get the job done approach to business.
So Bigstock, you live in the same city. Take notes on how your organization need to step up to the plate.

Bigstock, good or bad to upload to?

« on: January 19, 2017, 22:17 »
Here we go again! Bigstock uploading is broken. It's sad to run a business like that when so many talented people out there or even a high school student could do a better job in fixing the problems.
