Hi all! I'm having a bug on Illustrator CS6 lately... sometimes when I use a clipping path on complexe files it gets rasterized after saving it to EPS10. It's not that I'm using any effects that are not supported by EPS10, it's just the clipping path... when I remove it and export again everything works fine. Never had had this problem on previous Illustrator versions. Anyone having the same problem?

I can't make it work... It says there's some mistake but it won't tell me what... although I don't see what could be wrong... I upload only vectors... anyone with the same problem?

I've read the discussion and seen the similar illustrations from Russel and the tutorials... but it's really not the same thing as I'm thinking of.
Actually, I'm talking about "texture techniques" that will result on random results... Like, apply filter X, then filter Y, then color Z and you get a random rock texture. And that texture will be used on my artwork.
Russel's example (I'm not judging) uses the same technique and is very similar in the shapes...
Using that discussion as example, let's say I'd use the gradients techniques from that tutorial to create a dress instead of a ribbon... do you know what I mean?

Hi everyone!
Got a question for the experts... Can we sell images created following an online tutorial?
I mean for example a tutorial that teaches how to create a brick texture on Photoshop using filters that result on random textures... Can I use it to create new images and sell them online?
I don't mean copying an Illustrator tutorial and creating the exactly same image, but following the steps to create ramdon textures and effects... Can that be considered "copy"?
I'm not sure one can claim having the property of a Photoshop "creation steps"...
Thanks!

I thought the video was very amusing. I don't think anyone would take the claim that he is the most downloaded man in the world as a serious factual claim, it's just a fun promo for the photographer and and a commentary on stock. We may not all agree with the commentary he is making, but none the less it is presented in a very fun and amusing way. I'm sorry that it has been reacted to so badly by Yuri. I don't think it would have been hard for the guy to track down that model, especially as he may have tried several of the top micro models and that was the one he managed to get hold of. I also don't think that the creator of the video will be made to look silly or like a poor researcher by the fact that there are better selling models, again because, it was a silly little fun promo video from the outset.
you said it all

Just downloaded Shutterstock's iPad Application and I LOVE IT! Only thing still missing is the possibility to see contributors' portfolios but I think that will be soon available. Congrats SS

Thanks Dan! You can use mesh either on EPS8 or EPS10

Hi Dan, It surprised me to see one of my images here lol. Actually all agencies, except for iStock, accept EPS10 files (up to 15mb), so you can use as much transparency as you want. With the EPS10 files you can't use blur, drop shadow or some effects that will raster, but transperency is ok. Just one thing, you should not use gradients fading from or to a transparent color, if you wanna apply transparency to gradients, you should apply it to the whole object, not just on one of its colors, hope you understand what I mean. cheers, Augusto Cabral http://stockillustrator.blogspot.com/

Contact support, they will do it for you. Prices are set to maximum value, but while you were white level that means 20, and when you became bronze (the max price is 50 now) the old files stay the same. I think it would be easier if they come up with some kind of software for this. Many contributors don't even know about this.
I dont know if photos and vector have different EL prices, but the max for me, with vectors, is 80

My approval rate at Shutterstock used to be 99% - 100%, but since july they've dropped to around 30%!!!
Keywords and "Too many in site" are the most frequent rejections. Anyone else feeling that? Don't know if they've changed their policy or if the reviewers are either more picky or less experienced...

Hi!
I'm working on a magazine, designing its layout, and the journalist has made a list of blogs for an article. I'd like to use screenshots of the blogs mentioned to illustrate this article. Do you guys know if I can do that or is it necessary to ask for the bloggers' authorization?
In the article we're going to mention a list of cool blogs to visit when planning a trip. I'd like to use the screenshot, insert a little description of the blog and it's address.
thanks!

I'm having the same problems, but at Shutterstock. Rejections used to be really rare.. less than 1%... but during summer almost everything I upload is being rejected
