Rejections continue kinda abusive I think... they've changed something.. probably like you said, summer time and all the regular reviewers are on vacation...

I also got a request like that. It was an environmental organization that wanted to use my illustrations on their printed material. And the responsable for their media asked me to contribute with the environment by giving away my images for free. I replied asking her if she worked for free for that organization... I got no answer for that...

Crestock.com / Re: PAYOUTS

I thought about terminating my account there, but a couple of months ago I've noticed sales had increased quite a lot.... Not yet a big seller, but at least it's growing

They've just announced that all payouts were made today! Just checked my paypal account and I received a payout I had requested 2 months ago. Looks like it was a good change at Crestock.

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia offline/slow approvals

I don't if it's only for vectors but my images usually get reviewed around 1 hour after they are posted... it's by far the fastest review among all agencies... and no, I'm not exclusive.

Veer / Re: Upload limits at Veer
« on: May 31, 2010, 06:13 »
Same for me... almost all images get the "Needs Work" due to lack of color profile, but they get accepted anyway.

I've noticed that vectors take much longer to get accepted than photos

General Stock Discussion / Model of Partnership Contract
« on: May 29, 2010, 05:27 »
Hi!

I've been doing some illustrations in a partnership with a friend and would like to make a contract to have no legal problems in the future.

What happens is that he creates the basic illustration by hand, the sketchs, and I vectorize, color, modify and put them for sale. Then, we share the earnings 50/50.

Do you have any idea how can I make that contract without going to a lawyer? Do you have a model to share? I'd like something simple, just saying he authorizes me to sell our images.

Thanks!

Veer / Re: Veer Dash for Cash
« on: May 27, 2010, 12:40 »
Is there a way to see which images are on Dash for Cash? Like a special session or we must check the dates they were approved manually?

All images uploaded between May 5th and end of June are automatically considered for Dash for Cash. At least that's the way I understand it.

Uploaded or sent to approval or approved? Kinda confusing...

I think that even if it doens't make a huge difference in sales, it's cool to inovate and be the first one to offer this kind of service

never thought i'd contribute to gl, but now there's an incentive. even though the ipad is not a big market right now, it certainly has potential. it's great they've made it ipad compatible so you can download directly rather than go through the mac interface via the hub (a huge pain).

I'm really satisfied with gl, got my first payment 2 months after signing up... not bad comparing to crestock, yay, depositphotos and even 123rf.... if they keep growing, it could be an important agency

Let's not make a whole discussion on the "hate" word... I think everyone understood what I meant. The question is not why I hate and keep uploading or why in my blog there are links to Dreamstime.

What I'd like to know is what you don't like about each agencies and so on... Let's not make a drama on all this...

If you don't want people pointing out the links in your blog, why post the link to your blog?  ;)

It's not that, the point is that I made a simple question and it becomes a matter of wheter I'm suitable or not to this kind of market. I didn't say I hate rejections, or that I can't handle them, or if this is going to make me give up. Maybe using the word "hate" was a little too hard, but I'm sure that everyone understood what I meant.

Cheers

I think it would be interesting to know what are the weakness of each agency.

Those that I hate the most are Dreamstime for their arbitrary rejections and Pixmac for their extremely low comissions and for paying us in credits that will expire after one year.

Cheers

New Sites - General / Re: Pixmac paying $0.10?
« on: April 28, 2010, 09:11 »
possibly sales from their subscription program. Artist gets 50% of subs price.
So on a 1 year subs package, images get down to $0.10 and you get five cents.
Credits there also expire in 12 months, so if you haven't reached payout you start losing your commissions and get paid nothing :)

WOW! I didn't know that! That's really disgustin! I'll never make 50$ in one year selling images for $0.10!!!
