i have basic kit  cannon450 and mainly shoot with 55-250IS ,started last april ,   when i submitted everything on hard disk, soon realised i was wasting my time, i shoot mainly for rf123 and bigstock  and have 59 and 21 images accepted respectively,  3 accepted with dreamstime ,  and a total of 4 sales(witwoo) 3(rf123) 1 (dreamstime) and use rf123 and bigstock  as quality control,
id love to produce a photobook of  my sales,  lord knows how long that will take,    but my local college are offering free digital course 10 week, i start thursday,  its very fortunate i have a day job,  but i will keep plugging away

thanks for the info, i know its about finding my niche .  i live 15 floors up so with my trusty tripod  , i try to get good cityscape shots accross salford and manchester   with manchesters beatham tower being prominent  and i also carry my camera in my bag when going to work, (although you have to be careful getting DSLR out in downtown salford). do social street images sell? ive tried night cityscape work bulb exposure and it looks ok till you go to 100%  and i keep my eye out for the police helicopter. i would like to do night school course  but as a carer  i am on a 3 week rota  of 24 hour shifts,  isnt it pathetic when your really pleased you sold a photo for 36 cents but alas im addicted

been a photographer for a full 5 months and made 3 dollars from 3 photos, quite chuffed actually  1 sale from 3 photos on dreamtime  and 2 sales from 50 on rf123   16 on bigstockphoto no sales  71 stockphotomedia no sales  not made the grade yet for istock, shutterstock or fotofolia , as i have already spent nearly a grand sterling on camera and equipment , my next lens i hope will come from stock , as my next major purchase is to see big sis inLA next year, my biggest frustration is trying to get the 7out of 10 for shutterstock,  say they approve 4 out of 10 month, the next month  they reject them ,  glad i found this place at least i can target my efforts better
if you promise not to laugh   heres link to my  site        http://www.mrsite.co.uk/usersitesv24/Dazzphotography.com/wwwroot/index.htm
