None for me then. :(

Though I did bump into one of my pics which seems to have been stolen since I have not sold it.....

Exactly as it popped out. I would be incapable of adjusting it.
Odd......
If nobody else knows, then I'll contact IS.
In the meantime I have photoshopped onto the bottom of the release the words 'Standard model release' to see if that works.....you never know.....

I have just sent up some pics with Easy Release duly completed. Accepted by all agencies but IS are asking for
'Standard Model Release' to be added in the footer.
Any ideas what they mean?
Sigh........

Presumably if you are accepted into their Marketplace then your images aren't given away in the everything-you-want-for-a-year-for $50 range? Or am I wrong?

83
Didn't the last one blame reduce profits on increased Royalty Payments??? You couldn't make it up. Except they did.  :(  Expect them now to work on 'reducing Royalty Payments' to redress this supposed issue....!

84
So long as you have rights to use the textures etc then yes. But in the title then I would always say 'filtered image' just to be sure the reviewers and buyers know.

85
Nice in theory....but my most 'liked' and also my most original pics don't get accepted for Marketplace - and even those accepted take MONTHS to wander through the system. Given how much it costs now, this is a crazy waste of non-selling time.
:(

PS I've been in this line long enough to know the quality is ok!

Yep, noticed it. Not just crappy snaps. :(

Something is being tinkered with. My July was truly awful. Like years back. Every day a weekend. I was SERIOUSLY worried. I thought - feared - this would be the new normal.

But August has returned to ticking over. Not great, but certainly not collapsed like last month.

No idea if that provides any comfort. Clearly they are rotating ports or.... something......

But the wheel did turn. Fortunately.

« on: August 04, 2017, 03:40 »
Seems DP are now partnering with Graphicstock!
May as well just give everything for free! Please tell people in the Partner scheme that they are doing this. I think I only know this because I am opted out (and left just a few images there to keep the option for the future open), and they wrote asking permission to include me.
Graphicstock, for those who don't know, is where people pay a fee (theory 100$, but often on offer) to download as much content as they want FOR A YEAR FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. I have no idea what DP intends to pass on to photogs. But it can't be much more than giving away you whole stock library for nothing. Especially if you are on other sites.
Obviously, I am NOT joining.
PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG but I don't think I am.

Worst month for years unless IS rides to the rescue (unlikely).

"stop upgrading your equipment, sell the whole sebang and shoot with mob.  everything else is profit!!!"
If only that was true. Depends where you live. Here fixed costs and taxes have to be paid even if I don't sell a bean...! :(
I guess the cost of storage etc is close to zero the problem is though I don't think the search algorithms are good enough to present buyers with good choices. I think in the past the sites had a far higher standard than buyers which was also counter productive. The pendulum has swung too far the other way.
I don't think  the buyers now have higher standards than the sites - st least not SS. I think they are equally low.

When I see some of the show-me, just-sold-this threads it just makes me despair.

I once joined a company with a massive warehouse of old, unsellable stock.  Still with some value on the balance sheet though written down. Took ages to convince top management that there was no value here - just extra costs storing and auditing and space filled up which could be better used..... And that was face to face and literally walking them round them the space!
But how you get this message to shareholders about such intangible assets as our files is a serious problem.....

Till somebody realizes this, new files, no matter how good, just get washed away in the flood. On the other hand, if they only accept truly professional stuff requiring full frame cameras, studios, 38 different reflectors etc we are still up the creek as they WILL still sell for pennies.

Can't win this game.

NONE of mine seem to have the new watermark yet. Looks like not only am I forgotten by the Photo Sales Division but also Watermarking..... ???

My July has been terrible for sale, the worst month for years. Yours?

I have nothing to say, but it seems others do, so here is a special thread.

what do you do?

Upload as usual, hope it changes.
Upload as much as possible, something has to sell.
Stop uploading, everything gets buried anyway.

Just wondering. Given the disastrous sales this month and most of last.
