I'm coming a bit late to this thread but I like FAA a lot. I've with them since 2010 with over 500 images online.
I make a very good payout every month with very little effort...it's a great additional income at the end of the month and would recommend it to anyone! :)

Thank you Wim!
I have to agree with you about the thumb size and watermark that has always bothered me but most art sites like RedBubble and Artflakes have fairly large thumbs so if you want to sell some work you have to put up with it. Hopefully they might change that...it is certainly not worse than Photodune's thumb size.
Sad to say but people will steal no matter what!  :(

Let me translate that into a language men understand:

Wim, you're a weirdo...

 ;)

You said it not me!!  ::)  ;)

Have to disagree. I do extremely well on FAA with a good payout every month!
It has become one of my top earners. It's not so much the artistic that sell well but the stock images which surprises me. You do need to have at least 200 or more good quality images and to me the key is to upload regularly.
I highly recommend selling there.

Ah, there she is, lovely Sandra.
Good to see you are still doing well in stock milady but then that's no surprise to me with a port like that, your RM work looks stunning too btw.
Take care ;)

Wim, you are very special... ;)  ::)

Sandralise, you have a nice looking page on FAA. You must be on one of the paid plans (monthly fee), am I correct?

Thanks Stockastic!
Yes I am...it's the second year that I'm there. The first view months were very quiet but after increasing my port I started to get sales. This year it has really taken off...not sure why but maybe sales increase visibility.

I do quite well there with quite a good payout almost every month and do agree with Perry you do need to have images on partner sites for good sales.
I actually like them a lot!  :)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Your plans, for 2012 ?
« on: December 22, 2011, 11:01 »
Micro will always be there for me because I love doing seasonal image themes but 2012 will bring a pleasant change for me
in that I plan to concentrate on entering the RM markets like Getty, Archangel and Alamy.
It will be a pleasant change and I'm looking forward to shooting more artistic moody type images(Arcangel). I want to discover the dark side of myself and have a pleasant balance, LOL!
I was getting tired of just editing bright blue skies and happy scenes!
As an example: I want to shoot an image of a dead daisy or leaf than a fresh beautiful vibrant one, LOL!
That is my goal...don't laugh! :)

which needs to be changed soon :D

LOL!! Very funny!
There were a few little issues uploading but other than that sales were immediate which is very important for a new site!
I think Photodune is great!! :)

I think PhotoDune is one of the new promising agencies out there right now!
Thank you for the great news.  :)

I'm afraid this is just another not-ready-for-prime-time site. If and when the uploading is fixed/streamlined and if and when sales are ever generated there I may take another look.

I'd hate to try to convince you when your mind is made up.  But I find their upload system to be pretty fast and easy, at least when I combine it with FTP.  And as for sales ever being generated, PhotoDune is running third for me this month, well behind Shutterstock and half of 123RF, but ahead of all the other usual suspects.  Not bad for a site that generates no sales.

I have to agree with Disorderly, Photodune is a very fast and easy upload with fast reviews the next day. I  just joined mid-October and finished uploading my(small)portfolio last week.  Sales came right away and I now have sales daily. The one problem I did noticed was that they don't recognize commas in the description field when uploading so they will not go through in the FTP uploader.

I received this email from support this morning:
Hi,
We apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately we had an FTP server issue during the weekend. However, everything is up and running again. If those files are still not showing up in your account, please upload them again. It should work now!

Kind regards,

Everything seems to be working fine now but I had to re-upload my images again.

I have uploaded the same files twice with FileZilla and they are not showing up in "MY Files" section.
Emailed support but still no answer. :(

I like it a lot. Very useful to see which keywords are used for finding your images.
I actually like it just for the fact it shows what are your strongest selling images put in categories. I always suspected mine were Christmas and seasonal images! Guess that's why I always have a huge jump in sales from Sept to Dec.

Very impressive!
Nice to see an agency listening to it's contributors and treating it's suppliers with respect.
Wishing you the best and thanks for respecting our concerns.
You definitely have my support! :)

How I understand it now it's with DepositPhotos, that is currently selling
images at up to 6x less than Fotolia. Not sure what is to be done over this.
Maybe they should fight this thing out together. This certainly is not my fault. :(

how do we know it is DP?

I won't go into detail more than that and Antonio has also heard it mentioned on an FT forum.
I have had an excellent relationship with FT and want to find a solution to this problem but I'm not sure what is the solution for me right now.

I have read that post from Antonio, I was looking for more, I havent received the email but I am curious to see how this will go

LOL, me too!
