The only reason I can see for them keeping StockXpert open is that they have lots of images that istock don't have. Perhaps they will add those in to a new istock collection at some point in the future and close StockXpert down?
Yes but what if those images will migrate there, will they go through another inspection process? That sounds insane. Having said that I must admit that after Christmas StockXpert is literally dead for me... I have images submitted but I won't make them be reviewed until someone officially will clear the site's future out. hmmm

As I said on the previous page, Shutterstock settled with one of their customers who agreed to pay for an EL for every image they had used over the circulation limits in the regular license.
hmmm yep, got it.

I'm not a US resident, I'm Italian. I submitted the W8 without an ITIN: there's no way I'm going to apply for one since to get all my documents validated and sent in the US would be more expensive than the actual withheld taxes. I should get taxed of just the 5% according to the treaty country issue but given that US sales are not the main ones in my portfolio, the ITIN odyssey would not be worth it. Anyway the way Fotolia is handling with that is really not correct and extremely not professional.

I really like Stockxpert although it's only my 4th source of income. Their way to review images is pretty fast and efficient. However I did notice a significant drop in my sales once the Getty/Istock issue started. I hope StockXpert will get better in terms of sales and exposure.

omg Crestock... what an awful experience and what a waste of time.
Guys that agency is literally a dead man walking. Now I closed my account but when I would upload there I remember that my queue got huge for the lack of reviews in almost two months. No matter how many emails or support-tickets I sent to the staff.
What is the sense of a micro stock site not reviewing and updating? None, case in point.

I see what you mean and I agree. That act is that what makes agencies go on are the buyers and they all want the best at the lowest price, who can blame them? I'm not wishing that the sales revenues went ridiculously high but it would be much better if they raised the $0.20-0.30 limit to $1.00 per download.

Photos are sold too cheap. The future belongs to the 0.20$ or 15p sites. That's great, but not with me.
God you are so right buddy! As I see my pictures on the covers of books I have that feeling that many would call "rip-off" but we accepted being part of this system. In the end they market us, sell our works and give us a good exposure: this has a cost anyway. At least the editor should have a good coscience to credit the ARTIST and not the agency... sheees!
