posted just to see how I am doing it!

Not verry good.
Your indicator is way up in the red!

I only submit(ted) to the top 7 of your list, so I can only assess these.
For me, IS is the worst, of course.
Since I started to submit photo's that need MR's BigStock dropped to the bottom too though, with the silly "select how many modelreleases you want to attach"-button. After they started stopping the ftp-upload at random, I quit alltogether over there.
123RF is the eaziest, no categories and a great system to attach releases.

Leaf, can we have a suicide hotline for those of us who are so depressed looking at our meters that we can't go on? :)

I understand it's nice to know who's really new at this versus who's got a longer track record or larger portfolio, but I feel a bit bummed by having to look at a meter that say I'm not doing well every time I post.

I got more depressed looking at the diamondlist ;-)

But perhaps a more logarithmic scale would be better for our souls...

Thanks, I must have missed that one, how can I add pictures?

With the moon you'll be ok, short exposures.
For the planets you will need a lot more mm, say 2 to 4 meters to get any detail. For this sort of thing, you'd be better off with a webcam and a stacking program anyway....
I think most are using giant reflector things, in astrophotography, it's all about getting as much light as you can.
You can try your luck at the orion nebula though, get a lot of shots and stack them, you'll find out soon enough what your max shutterspeed/iso can be.

Nice composition...

I can see a lot of spots in the green however that could easily be mistaken for sensordust. Perhaps they are air bubbles in the glass?

That's a great tutorial Miz, thanks!

This one:

Haven't  found a top 50 or so either.
Good luck, and keep me posted on how you're doing over there!

Hi Bjorn,

I submitted my 5 bestsellers about 8 months ago.
They have about 20 views each. I was going to tell you not to bother, but as I just looked for the fist time in months, one of them has sold for 30 euro's commission.
Maybe I'll do another test and give it a few hours of my time. They accept almost anything so the better pictures should stand out a bit.

Groet,
Olivier

My 420ex keeps stalling whenever I try to use a cheap slave-trigger, it flashes once and then doesn't recharge.

You can trigger your 430 with a 560 or 580 aswell   :P

Earnings x 6
Upload x 3
Service x .5
Consistency x 1
Website x 1

Ok :-)

I think the ease of upload should be rated heavier (x3?).
Don't care about the web-interface so much (x.5?).

Don't think so, I submitted my "first application" by cd and got rejected for size (thought they required 40mb). Then I got an email stating the FTP was activated and submitted my "second application" via the site.

I was just eating my heart out and reassuring Fortunefame that he was not the only one when...
I got my first one just now too!

Great feeling, here's to many more!

Well, something has changed...
Searching for "container ship" in best match yields an image of a truck.
And it hasn't even got "container ship" in the key-word list!
Any thoughts?

Well done George, congrats!
