Sean visiting Jonathan at the latest Russian Convention?
Maybe Russian's interpretation of this forum of late! Gee they're quick!
Naah, they'd be using slow working poisons and banana peels.

I hope we (the Netherlands) will finally win it for the first time in life. Very exciting. Wish I could be there in South Africa now. For the games but also the country
I'm with you. Made the mistake the other day in Dublin to ask a cabdriver if Ireland was attending. The poor man almost broke out in tears

Yep can't stress too much about these things.
For those around on Sunday, how is meeting up somewhere around 6:30pm?
Good plan, sounds like supper. Any Irish got a suggestion?

I'm scheduled to leave on Thursday, it will probably be difficult to change.
How about some kind of compromise? Like 3 or 4 models for one shoot only. That way we would not loose too much money if it doesn't work out.

The weather forecast is not looking good for Monday though If it is pouring rain or even slightly constantly raining, we won't be shooting. We dont' really have much choice. perhaps some of the models will be free another day but no guarantees.
We should be able to find a location to shoot inside. I'll bring some cheap rain ponchos for the models. How watertight is your flash? The weather looks the same on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I get to Dublin on Sunday about midday, so if anyone is around it would be nice to catch up for a beverage - alcoholic or otherwise! As usual... I won't have a phone though...
Ok, what time do you want to meet? We'll pick a location.

Allright, two shoots are planned for June 7th
Casual Shoot: June. 7, 2010 @10:00-14:00 Business Shoot: June 7, 2010 @ 16:00-20:00
I have the second shoot so late because in Cannes we ran into problems of there being too little time between the first and second shoot. We will also get a little more golden hour sunlight shooting a little later.
I have emailed the first 8 models (4 for each shoot) and waiting for confirmation that they can make it. If I manage to find 5 models for each shoot I'll probably book that many so at least 3-4 (hopefuly 5) show up. If we end up being 5 or more shooters it will be nice to have the extra models. If we end up with 5 models we'll have a nice group.. it'll cost a bit more but it'll be worth it. I am not actively booking couples so if one model doesn't come it should only be one model that doesn't come.. not two. I am also having problems finding guys, so we may end up with one group of all women ..... (girl's day on the town theme???).. Payment to the models is the same as last time, 100 Euro/model which we'll split evenly amongst everyone who shoots.
I also tried to find models in the 40-80 age category, but that is proving to be very difficult. They are once again 20-35 aged people.
Again, people can take part in whatever shoot (or both) they want.
Great, thanks. Pity about the older models tough. Can you post links to the models as you did in the Cannes thread?

yeah, it looked a little smoother running through lightroom (using the plug-in). I don't use Lightroom though so I am wondering if it is going to be more work than I think it is worth.
Why? You just drop a DNG of the ColorChecker in the app, press "play" and in ACR you have a new Camera Profile you can apply to that lighting setup. Looks cool to me.

This looks interesting. I've got the "Original ColorChecker" and used to run AcrCalibrator on it. Took for ages to run though, so stopped using it.
