Okay.  I just worry about if an automatic plan is put into place like say once an hour that it would kill the sites.  And by the term kill I mean massive melt down that would make them inaccessible.

Veer / Re: The Future of Veer
« on: August 27, 2013, 22:36 »
Veer has never been a big earner for me (struggling to reach my second payout) coupled with a ton of rejections "Although this image is technically sound we don't want/need it" (I'm paraphrasing I can't remember verbatim) I quit uploading there.

As far as future Veer goes, I don't have a crystal ball.  It is apparent that the subscription model that they implemented a year or so ago hasn't really taken off...not for me at least.  So it's anyone's guess what's going to happen.

I agree we should have a central area dedicated to support and help like what's been done here.

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to coding anything like this but maybe something set up with the search engines to ping them when new content is available.  I'm not sure how much of a server load that would cause to the search to have a melt down.  Do they update once a day with network information?

129
My suspicions are confirmed about the image tags.  It went down by another 200 urls and everything is indexed all the way except for the images site map.  The 3 image tags maps have gone down so it's probably duplicate content.

130
Underneath at the bottom there will be two check boxes.  Update public network info and update public image info.

I think you need to check the box for update public image info and see if that gets them to show up.  If not repeat the same step with the other box or you could just check mark them both and click save changes :)

131
That changes once you set up your network.  There will be text areas where you can point them to the url of your logo image.  Those you will upload to your media section of Word Press.  To get your link you click on edit on the image you want then copy and paste that url into the appropriate box.

I had the same questions earlier this month but can't remember where I posted it to so I can't link you to that part of the thread.

The profile photo is where chromaco described it.

Hee hee it provided me with enough distraction from the SEO part which I always look for because it's unbelievably booooooring!

133
Okay I know where that's at when I was looking at the links you found yesterday.  Duh!  Don't know why I didn't think that using the html tags in the edit of the form would also influence the email that you receive.  I'd have thought that was in some included file somewhere that handled all of it.

I just tested it with what you showed me and it's a lot easier to read :)

Thanks!

I think I changed maybe one or two I can't remember.  It was up to 3,072 yesterday then 3,064 later yesterday now it's around 2,800.  And looking at the crawl stats under sitemaps it might be the image-tags site maps.  I have three of them so I'm wondering if tags were duplicated within the sitemap and Google is removing them because they're identical?

135
It was going good then I'm seeing my url's are getting de-indexed.  ???

I'm on a self publishing site and haven't been on there in awhile but they do often ask where they can get images for their covers and I see stock sites listed all the time.

I'll have to keep a better eye on the self-publishing sector to see if more of that is going on there and if it is, school them on why it's wrong.

137
Cool!  Glad you got it worked out :)

I too haven't looked into making them look better when they get into my inbox and I agree they are terribly hard to read.  Just have to find the file that controls it unless it can be styled with the css as well.

138
Okay so here goes.

You don't need to edit the core contact form files.  You can control it within the child themes style.css file.

Code: [Select]
.wpcf7 input[type="text"],
.wpcf7 input[type="email"],
.wpcf7 textarea
{
    background-color: #fff;
    color: #000;
    width: 50%;
}

Adjust the width percentage as you like :)

139
Oh I won't I already feel like I've been hit by a truck.  Just need a good nights sleep and then get a fresh pair of eyes on it when I get up.

Yeah I didn't count the bags I just looked at the clothing and people placement.  Probably a little more infringing than when I first looked at it.

More often than some would like to admit.  I don't believe it to be a straight knock off but definitely abusive inspiration especially in the clothing and layout of the characters.

It happens more with silhouettes I think than anything else.

142
It does as I didn't see the short code brackets underneath.

I still haven't had a chance to look at it and I really wish there was a way to not mess with the original plugin code but doesn't look like there's a way around it.

The way my day is going right now I probably won't get to it until tomorrow...unless I wanna stay up really late :p

It might be that the table width is too small.  220px in line 3

Code: [Select]
<td valign="top" style="width: 220px"><table style="width: 220px" border="1">
Try changing the table style width and see if that works.

144
I'm nosing around in the plugin files haven't found where the fields live yet.  I'm downloading it to the computer so I can look around it more easily.

I wouldn't mind doing that sometime down the road if we can figure out a way to bypass PayPal all together.

Maybe edit the image to not live which will take away the download links on the right (If I remember correctly) and just add a download button for each size in the description.

Shouldn't be too hard to implement.

I find the bottom right corner of the email hilarious.

Have you tried a test download yet when the price is $0.00?

I tried to do a test dl on an image I set to 0 and PayPal told me to charge more than $0.00 whatever that was supposed to mean.

148
I use contact form 7 Wordpress plugin but haven't really looked at the code for it and mine is just as tiny.  Is that what you're using too?

149
I actually found a link to one of my pages from Google Webmasters on the front page of Google doing a keyword search.  I didn't get to the SEO on that file until today.  So they are getting indexed and do show up in site searches...image searches on the other hand are taking some time...for me at least.

I have both Inkscape and Gimp but don't have enough knowledge to use them.

I do use Blender and the things people are doing with freestyle are phenomenal.  I haven't tried using it yet I usually stick to Blender internal since my graphics card can't handle Cycles.
