I have also signed up and would like to see the site succeed, as it has a nice look and style. My only gripe is the categories which seem to be so many and a bit mixed up. If we are going to have to use them, then I would like to have them in better order and more easy to find.
Thanks, I think we have fixed this issue now - please take a look if it is make more sense this way.
Yes David, this is much better and quicker. Thanks a lot!
We do keep thinking how to speed up your uploads and one of the suggestions was temporary shrink down the list of categories, leaving the primaries only, i.e. just go with about 20 main categories visible on the site, at least for now. This way you can upload faster. Plus, if your image comes with IPTC data we can try auto-suggest you the first category selection (needs your verification though). How this sounds?

I signed up and uploaded a few. Looks like a nice site but as others have said, we need buyers to motivate us to upload. Hope you find a way to get them interested.

In my opinion, and from experience, you should really keep within the TOP 6 ( on the right of this page) Outside of that you could be wasting much time for very little gain!

I have had a pretty good month all round in June. If July is as good, I will be more than happy!

I would like to see the file sizes smaller. I tried to upload some of my graphics and It said to small.
First, thanks for your submission, these are very nice illustrations.
What min MP size would you consider as reasonable? Would it be a good idea to separate MIN upload size for illustrations(raster) and photos, making it e.g. 2MP for illustrations and e.g. 4? 5? 6? (now) MP for photos?
How about 4mp for photos? I'm sure a lot of contributors have good selling images from when the pixel count was much lower than it is today, and would be able to upload these to you. It will also mean more images for your database.

Great shots Phil!
It goes to prove once again that you don't need a large piece of "Male Jewelery" hanging from you to attain super images. A lot of the Panasonic's produce high levels of noise but this can be dealt with easily enough and you do have that fantastic Leica lens.
My two best selling images on stock were shot with Lumix FZ 30.

We listen to you very carefully. The minimal payout amount was dropped to $50.
Nice start - WTG! One thing - I see from your submitter FAQ that the min file size is 6mp but I have found one file at 4.8.

I cannot believe that this site is still open. One sale this year. The only good thing is that it has confirmed my expectations.
I agree! same for me - 1 measly sale.

I'm happy enough - but you know competition is hotting up all the time. It's a saturated market of both agencies and contributors.
Keeping our sales up will be tough and will demand producing the very best!

Hi David! Your site looks and moves pretty well and I wish you the best. The difficult part is to get contributors onboard. You really have to be able to show that something is happening ie. like marketing plan, what is popular, what is selling etc.
Also a forum I feel, which you are probably planning. Like some above, I think the min payout is too high and it's off putting for a new site. I would suggest something like 50 or even less. Sorry to say, I wouldn't consider signing up for 100 pay out.
Anyway, good luck and will keep an eye on developments.

Is anyone here contributing to PS or selling any material there? One thing I have noticed is that the forum is a bit lifeless! http://www.photosociety.eu/

I still upload to them,I'll continue until whatever happens. I won't try to get in IS.
Same here - but surely we can expect a drop in sales.

Just reveived the Yay newsletter and find that Yuri is now putting 20,000 images there. I wonder why he waited so long?
Maybe he was waiting for them to offer some good money to do so. It's not unusual for a big player to be offered financial inducements to upload to a new agency.
That is a possibility I feel - he is also over at Photo Society! http://www.photosociety.eu/

Why is there seemingly so much enthusiasm about joining Veer? Am I missing something - is it the "Promised Microstockland"?
Are we all going to cash in or what?

A good way at StockXpert is to use the Self Promo once a week. Always seems to generate more views.

I have always found that it takes a bit of time for images to get going at StockXpert. I have uploaded a batch recently and views are now beginning to show up. If you do the free Promo you will certainly get more views on your work.
Personally, I dont bother about the number of views - I just look out for sales!

It's nice to be nice - but now it pays also! Congrats on the milestone.

They have been doing great for me all along. I am not bothered about low views on new images, they still sell lots of older ones.
Likewise - I never bother about views - I just watch out for sales! StockXpert has also been doing really well for me.

If you go to Check your numbers, (down near the bottom of your page). Then Download stats
and then to 25 a Day, Enhanced etc

It still is better to tell us that they don't want that image than trying to find the technical problem for which they could reject it.
OK - but then they should not use those rejections to decrease our acceptance ratio which they then use to calculate the position of our photos in the search engine results... It should be something like Accept-Ignore-Reject for any photo. And only the photos rejected for technical flaws should decrease your position in search results.
That is a very good point! Technically perfect work can be rejected and it's costly on your acceptance rate. Does that mean that we should all search the database for what we are going to upload to see how much of the same is already there? I don't think we all have time for that!

I didn't upload much last month and sales are still good. The initial download rush decreases with a bigger portfolio but sales have been consistent the past few months. EL's and PPD sales have increased this year, making up for a drop in subs sales.
Same for me- I hadn't uploaded in over 4 weeks but my April sales held up pretty well!
