General Stock Discussion / Re: Summer is Over... So are Sales Back Up?« on: September 08, 2009, 14:47 »
Not spectacular for me so far anyway.
I did enjoy a very good August so I can't complain. Fingers crossed, sales should become steady enough from here on. 78

General Stock Discussion / Re: How annoying when you got rejected and see others accepted« on: September 05, 2009, 07:40 »I agree Fred - "you win some - you lose some" and the game goes on. We all have been through bad patches of rejections but you learn to live with it. 84
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Question - Do Old Images Continue to Sell?« on: September 05, 2009, 07:32 »
What I find - for me anyway, is that new images that have done really well when first uploaded have continued to sell on a regular basis.
If they "shine" at the start, they will have established themselves and will continue to do well as they have pushed themselves up in the 'most popular' search. At the moment, it appears as if the search doesn't lean as heavily as it did in the past towards new images. 85
Dreamstime.com / Re: Microstock or not?« on: August 31, 2009, 14:43 »
Well, this artist may have some images that you might not consider microstock, but if you go further into the portfolio, there is ceratinly a lot of micro stuff there as is evident for the number of sales made.
I have always considered DT to be more open to creative work and I like that. 86

Maybe FT can come on and explain if it is related to them. 88
Adobe Stock / Re: Blue dot« on: August 13, 2009, 15:37 »
I'm not sure but there could be an option there where you agree that refused can be considered go into free images.
It's worth checking your account options. 89

General Stock Discussion / Best Designed Site (Poll)« on: July 31, 2009, 08:43 »
Which of the top micro sites do you think has the best design?
Not talking here about how easy it is to upload etc. but just the general and best overall appearance and one you find most pleasing. Also, if you have any comments on how certain sites could be improved. My vote goes to DT. 94

Have sold quite a few on Redbubble - but to promote yourself there you really have to keep pretty active in the community.

David, your forum construction is taking some time.
Is there a hold up with the cement delivery? Would be nice to have it so that people could interact more and get ideas etc going. 99

Bigstock.com / Re: New search options on BigStock .... GREAT!« on: July 11, 2009, 07:28 »Larry, I was merely trying to say that sales at BigStock were not so good at the moment. I didn't set out to be critical of the site as I have sold quite a lot of images there.Nice update- but I wish it would translate into sales for me! As regards links, I dont "hide" them - I just dont publish them - a personal choice. Thanks for your response. |
