Not too good, but slightly better than last month.

I have just opted out my exclusive contents. Too bad I did not know the option earlier.

Mat, what if I use AI to transform my original image?

Will it be considered as AI or original image?

29
The link to Adobe doesn't work.

I thought non-exclusive footages were offered through Getty Images, no?

I have sold more than 10 footages through SS, but the total earning is still below $5, most sales are 0.25.

Gotcha! But I still don't regret leaving Storyblocks and don't contribute to others.

I wonder if the unlimited subscription sites will, in the long run, compromise my earnings from P5, Adobe, GI, SS and so on.

Envato Elements, Motion Array, Artgrid, Storyblocks... and a few smaller sites.

Thanks for the reply. Glad I am not with any of these.  ;)

Hehe, SpaceStockFootage said in another thread that more than half of his earnings comes from video subscription sites (Mostly Envato Elements and Storyblocks). I started uploading to Storyblocks 3 months ago and the estimated earnings for this month are 1/3 of my total earnings. My portfolio at Storyblocks is 1/6 of SS, but it looks like I will earn more at Storyblocks this month...

And for the unlimited subscription sites, somewhere from around a fraction of a cent, to about $16.50... hut heavily weighted towards the former.

Which sites are offering unlimited subscription?

Looking at January numbers, the lowest video sale at SS was 1$.

Edit: Lowest sale at level 1 was 1.05$, but I have several sales of 1$ at level 2.

All my level 1 sub sales were at 0.25, now I am at level 2, haven't had any sales yet.

I hope to know the lowest sub sales from other sites such as GI, Adobe and P5 non-exclusive. I could be wrong, but it seems that SS has the lowest sub price. Is it correct?

My lowest video royalties from
Shutterstock - $0.25 (in any level)
Getty Images - $0.06
Adobe Stock - $2.38
Pond5 - $1.92 (non exclusive)
Dreamstime - $ 3.14
Depositphotos - $2.70

Thanks! Good to know.

I know SS pays $0.25 for video subs at level 1.

How much do other sites pay?

Thanks.

Lowish sales, better RPD, best Jan since 2019, which I guess is something.  ::)

Interesting that you said that! Sounds similar in my case.

Are there still video sites which don't offer subscription?

Ok month for December.

Got mine too.

One positive thing about GI is that it will actually pay earlier than the date it promised, which is on the 25th of the month.

The copyright law changes in favor of physical artwork because artist organizations are lobbing and advocating for the changes.

If stock artists always accept whatever pittance without doing anything about it, the status quo will always be the same.

Given the number of stock artists in the world, it is sad that we are so weak. The basic problem is that there is no leaders among us.

43
Well, some stock artists are also selling prints and through galleries.

Countries including UK and France, have already implemented "resale rights" https://www.cp24.com/entertainment-news/artists-to-cash-in-when-work-is-resold-with-update-of-copyright-laws-1.6016896

44
Even though it does not seem to cover stock images at this time, it is a move in the right direction.

I don't understand why Alamy has to nickle-and-dime the contributors so much.

Today is the 13th, or the end of the ninth working day. my pittance has not arrived yet.

We used to get paid in the first week of the month, now it moves to the middle of the month.

Alamy asked me twice if I would agree to make a distribution sale. The answer is no, thanks for asking.

Yes, it is a very good month.

How do you check rpd?

Divide total amount for the month by the number of sales.
Or just look on TodayIs20!

Thanks! Do I get the total dl from Jan 2022 download page?

If yes, my RPD is 3.32. Is it possible?

Yes, that's how I got mine.
I guess you're RPD could be $3.32. I'm only on 30%, so if you're on 35% or even 40%, your rpd would normally be better. Or you might have hit the jackpot and had one of more high value downloads. By far the easiest way to see that is via TodayIs20, but you could use their pdf or put their text files into a spreadsheet to see individual sales values.

I think I should use Feb DLs, which gives RPD as 3.46. That includes three video DLs. I am also on 30%.
