Is it possible to let the site owner know automatically if an image is not downloadable by the client?

The way my site is at the moment (with the majority of my symbiostock_rf file missing) means that a client can pay for an image and once they have paid they get a note on screen to say the image is not available  (Mark did a test purchase for me to find out)

I could of course delete all my images so they don't show but they are useful to refer to to get the descriptions  before I delete them.

I have a message at the bottom of my site pages that reads:

Following on from Leo's sales Poll I thought I would ask a few questions to see how others minds are working.

My thoughts are that the perfect result would be for everyone to go totally independent so that clients had to come to us if they wanted images but I don't think there are enough people that would risk removing their images from everywhere else - or are there ?

I debated whether to mention this or not as I understand from another member, when I asked if I could base some of my wording in theirs, that exact duplicate content   downgrades the SEO

While I have no problem at all with others basing their EULA's on mine I would rather they did not use my other pages without asking permission first as a lot of effort and thought have gone into them to make them personal to me

I know in this sharing Symbiostock environment that this sounds selfish but we are all individuals and our sites should reflect that.

I have seen a few other people include blogs on their site - are there SEO benefits in commenting on each other's pictures and blogs?

Usually when I see a picture I would like to comment on there is no comment box

Has anyone come across this problem and a solution for it.

I upload png and jpg (same names) and when the process images box comes up they both show
When editing the jpg has prices and there is an additional area showing sizes for png (although it does not actually say so) so it looks as if all has gone well

Sometimes ONLY the png shows up when the images are edited and published for instance

I have tried putting them in different order - png then jpg, and jpg then png
Uploading and processing only the one set

but it makes no difference

I uploaded three different sets at the same time and one has png and jpg and the other two only png

I have tried re-uploading without success

Does anyone use Wordfence for Wordpress.  I was wondering about it to try and block some of those irritating people who try and sell me nike shoes, polo shirts, some things that are primarily for men!   Is it likely to counteract or interact badly with Symbiostock does anyone know?

Justhost seems to be down completely and Bluehost not loading properly - is anyone else having problems ?

I was going to see if I could find anything on twitter about it but that seems to be down as well, and bbc and sky - maybe I had better turn radio on

We have discussed before the potential , for lack of a better word, "quality" of images that people who wish to join the network might upload.

To help people who have never done stock photography and have no idea about it who wish to join the Symbiostock network would it be worth suggesting that they upload somewhere say 5-10 varied images and some of us  when we have the time and inclination could say yes or no as to whether we would submit a particular image and why/why not ?

This would have two benefits in that  potential members would know what more experienced people thought and existing members could judge the quality and whether they wanted them in their network?

We all want clients that return and recommend us which means keeping the quality high

Any thoughts ?

I would like to include some png files as design elements so they keep their transparent backgrounds - or is it better to create them as tiffs so they keep the exif data then upload as zips and do you also upload a jpg?   I know I saw somewhere what do do about these type of files but cannot find it at the moment, can someone help please - in non-technical terms

I have been editing the child theme, have got part way to what I want to do, purely by trial and error  over the last few days

1.  Does anyone know if there is a way to make all the content (text, header, widgits, sidebars, blog) areas the same background colour without having to find and edit them individually

2.  How do you change the width of the footer to match the content areas
