Would the fact my symbiostock_rf folder only has images in it back to the 7th August (instead of end of March) have anything to do with this I wonder?

Unfortunately it does not.
I cannot replicate the problem on my testing site so am going to try updating to latest Symbiostock version and then reprocessing to see if that triggers anything. If not will work backwards. My backup is no good as it was made at a point when I thought I had the problem sorted but apparently not.
It appears that it only affects published images (and for a while upon publication) as I have some old drafts I have never published and they look fine

Here are a few screenshots In this one I have moused over the text - it is in white so does not show and nothing except SyXtra Master keyword is missing or uneditable Now a normal version - shows text, picture and all editable areas The public area view of the first image - note the sizes missing (at one point the prices reverted to 0 but currently showing) The public area of the second, normal, view

I thought I had fixed this problem but in all my images uploaded before a certain date it still exists. The affected images (majority of my portfolio) cannot be edited and show no size information in the pricing table.
If anyone else comes across it please let me know so we can compare notes. I originally tired disabling (and then deleting) all plug ins and eventually the theme and child themes themselves which appeared to fix the problem but now I have run out of ideas.
Everthing still seems to work otherwise I think

I *think* that would be easy enough to do - do not add them to the drop down categories in the header and hide the main category page(s) I think the only time they might show up then is if someone does a search on your site and you do not have any results?

Using ImageMagick (exec enabled) Justhost
Had previously added
extension=imagick.so

Creating Licences (as I understand it and from memory as have accidentially locked myself out of site, I know what I did wrong this time just need to find solution ) 1. Create your new licences in WP pages, publish and make a note of the URL 2. Under Symbiostock - Licences Choose type - Standard/Extended/Custom , give it a name, add the URL as per No. 1 and chose where it will go Over/Under/Etc if you are adding an extra fee such as for extended then click the Yes box and fill in the prices. Add a note in the next box to briefly describe the licence (this will appear in the pop-up when someone clicks on the little licence icon once published) - then click Save and you will have a new licence. You cannot edit this only delete and start again. Repeat as required for further licences. Save. 3. Go to Symbiostock - Batch Edit Enter keyword of images you wish to add licences to and click the Search box (NOT enter/return) and those images will show up. Either click the last number or select some by clicking on the images Select the first option at the top - Settings & Prices Scroll down to the bottom and select the licence(ses) you are going to add to that image Click Save and hopefully those licences should now be added to your images I will modify this post later to add correct terminology

I seem to remember that the different sites show up in the order of the search speed so they will often vary

I am sure I have seen this post before and did not fully understand it then either. We can add whatever categories we want, very few of us have stuck to the original list and can use keywords to so rt when required. If we added dates could sort on those as well but dates are rarely relevant

Your site is looking good overall - how did you get your categories in columns?
One thing I did notice - I went to your Spanish Cuisine and the dynamic preview flash and do not load properly

By Indenting in the menues.
I have remembered now - it was on the complete category page that I could not get the sub-sub categories to show - just drag and drop to indent such as
All categories >> Animals >>>>Dogs >>>>>>Afghan >>>>>>Basenji >>>>>>Dobermann >>Backgrounds >>Landscape >>Food >>>>ready made >>>>drinks
etc

I don't have down arrows on all of mine either - strangely enough it is Dogs and that has lots of subs

Someone else is having this problem at the moment I think because of where she has installed her wordpress.
What is your site name so the technically minded can take a look when they arrive

« on: August 29, 2013, 08:57 »
I have some cloud storage but they are either small or will run out when I stop paying for subscriptions (they are linked to other things) so I ignore them. I suppose I also don't really trust things I cannot hold in my hand in some way. How do you get free cloud storage large enough for a symbiostock back up?

« on: August 29, 2013, 08:55 »
I gave up on that, never got it to work. Got around it by having different links in my headers

for web hosting, what is the cheapest option? if only a few k jpg images, does it has a free option?
Free is not good, you are very unlikely to get the options you need to run Wordpress and Symbiostock, it will be full of adverts and they will spam you to death Many of us use Justhost or Bluehost. With Justhost you will probably need to edit your php.ini but that is not difficult

I assume it is the same as non Clean Theme http://www.symbioguides.com/getting-started/initial-setup-menus/then use the Image Categories in the Appearance, Menus section If Image Categories is not showing click on Screen Options at the top right of the page to get a drop down to enable different items to show - this is the same for nearly all wordpress pages.

How are you doing it - on testing site I used Symbiostock/batch editor - did a keyword search for a set of images , selected all those images (one page at a time or you lose selections) then used Settings & Prices to add the licences. Not yet added it to my main site as I want to get it sorted in my head exactly how I am going to do it and get all my new licences fully edited. After seeing your post I tried going to All Images and selecting a page of 100, selecting all images, adding a keyword that I would not normally ever use and adding it to everything on that page thinking as we can now remove keywords it would not matter.
Unfortunately I seem to have broken the batch search engine as when I try and search for that keyword (or any other come to that) I now get the following. It was working earlier
Warning: simplexml_load_file(http://tulip.kerioak.com/?s=bahhumbug&post_type=image&symbiostock_network_search=true&ipp=) [function.simplexml-load-file]: failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! I just do not want to purchase buggy software. I dont want to be a beta tester. Is that wrong of me?
No, providing you quietly wait until those of us who have no problems with beta testing have reported all the bugs we can find in the knowledge that they will get fixed. That way these bug reporting theads can contain only reports and queries instead of grumbles which will help Leo find the real problems more quickly
I checked out your prob! It appears you've used a 'o' instead of an '0'. Very small difference. I never liked the way "O" has tried to play the part of "0"...very deceiving! But yes, thats throwing the math off. I need to just throw in an is_numeric() check.
Are you sure? I know I mistakenly put a o instead of 0 in the fair trade licence but I created that in while I was using Skype to show someone how to do it and realised the error. The actual prices are zero's otherwise you would not get, for example this when selecting an extended licence: 1120.00+400.00 1,520.00 Licences The links to the licences are not very obvious, if possible could we possibly have a different layout, maybe as below. If someone wants to have a lot of versions of a custom licence such as: Exclusive use 6 months Europe Exclusive use 1 year Exclusive use 6 months World or whatever permutations we come up with over time they will be easy to choose as the selection box will be on the same line and the little licence icon will be more obvious I think - especially if more than one box could be selected so licences could be more like Exclusive use 6 months Exclusive use 1 year Exclusive use World Exclusive use Europe Exclusive use Americas Exclusive use Australasia Half Page Full Page Web or whatever I do not know if anyone would have the patience to fill all these out or use them but it will make it more open to multiple uses Edit: PS - if no one seconds any of this request then forget I asked

I have not yet set it up to batch-assign single values. Does anyone else want this?
So licenses can be assigned at the same time images are edited? Yes please This also means if we offer a custom/rm type licence for all new/unsold images we can then remove that licence if it sells as standard

My host does regular backups but after the Justhost/bluehost/hostmoster fiasco the other week I decided to back up the site to my computer. It took me two days of attempts and the final - and successful backup took nearly six hours to download. Not something I want to try every day.
With most hosts I think you can set up sub-domains to do your testing on - I have main and testing site on subdomains

Hi Jean No problem, will add you back as soon as you are sorted - can you let me know in case I miss it?

You have got a bit further this time - the image page shows up, just not the image. I have seen this somewhere else recently, will go and have a hunt around
Edit: found the thread but no answer , PM'ed the poster to see if they can help

I have removed Jean from my network and disabled the sites on the marketing page (where the number of other sites has just dropped from 77 to 16) and the error message has disappeared.
How/why would a problem with someone else's site affect mine ?
