Adobe Stock / Re: Credits
« on: March 21, 2007, 00:10 »
Depends on which country you sign up as....if US, then it is $1 for US$1.

If you sign up as UK , then it is $0.57 for Pound$0.57 according to the exchange rate for US$1.

You can't switch back to either once you sign up. \

CJ - You could change??? They refust to let me change. I wanted to change as most stock sites were in US$ and I wanted to manage my exchange by having a different currency but they refused. when did you change? Maybe they just changed it recently.

Fotolia is ok. I hope it gets better for me. I just got my first payout after about 8 months. You can see my statistics in my website (All About Microstock) in my signature below which shows how many photos i had in each Micro Stock and how long it took to reach 100 downloads and how long it took to get my first payout.

yah....none of the title and descrption is captured in Big Stock. wonder when it will be okie???

Seems like many of the stock sites are doing some changes this past week.
-> istock was having maintenace for a few hours yesterday
-> Shutterstock was having problems and the forums say they are upgrading for maintenance or something
-> Featurepics recently changed and tweak their website
-> Big Stock just allowed Vectors and have changes in upload

When did they have this? I did not know they even have subscription sales...

Bigstock.com / Re: BigStock Sales
« on: February 28, 2007, 21:26 »
i joined sometime in june 2006, last year and i will receive my 2nd payout of $30 this month. I like the low payout of $30 but with 500 photos (my largest portfolio) online in Big Stock I was hoping for monthly payout. Hopefully it happens soon like from Mar 2006 hahaha. I like the "no fuss" in Big Stock. Well like many say, it is a slow and steady site. Compare to some other sites, it is doing ok. My best sites are istock and shutterstock, the rest of the sites are hmmm.,....i wish they are better....

Hi.

I am on My Family for 4 years. Its a great site but needs to pay. So now looking for an alternative to My Family that is Free. So if anyone knows any alternative that is free and has similar functions (Its ok if it is not as dynamic.), I will be most grateful.

I have a group of international friends from all over the world with whom I went to a school with a few years ago and we want to keep in touch, just that its a problem to decide who pays for the site etc and its sad cos we are thinking of closing it down this year. So hoping to find an alternative.

123RF / Re: What's wrong with 123rf?
« on: February 21, 2007, 22:33 »
I just joined 123RF in Jan 2007, this year but review time is extremely slow. Takes about 2-3 weeks to get approval for a batch. But since I have some photos sitting there already, I am not too concern. Just wondering about sales??? I have been here for about 2 months and have about 90 photos online and I just finally got my first sale today at $0.30. Is this normal?

Print on Demand Forum / Re: Any experience with Zazzle?
« on: February 21, 2007, 22:09 »
Yes but

Cafe Press -> You need to pay some kind of monthly fee  plus the content seem to have quite a lot of junk and I am not willing to pay any fee esp not knowing how productive it is.

Zazzle -> From what I see and read is free to join. The content seem to be of a higher standard than Cafe Press

Spreadshirt -> I just found it on one of the links in a website and I just joined last week cos its free to join and it looks quite good. Not sure of how successful it is though. But I have always been keen to sell my works as shirts and tshirts etc. (Problem is they have high cost for product so I think I need an alternative with lower product cost. Zazzle seems promising so I am asking for feedback.)

Print on Demand Forum / Any experience with Zazzle?
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:34 »
I think I heard someone mention Zazzle in one of the threads. Curious so went to take a look. Looks like a thriving website. Would like to ask if anyone has experience with it as it is for selling custom tshirts, posters, mugs, cards etc. Sounds interesting but only get 10% commission it seems.
Can someone with experience at Zazzle give feedback? Thanks!

i think its all a matter of trusting that people are good and morally upright. Of course there are always black sheeps around.

I keep an excel spreadsheet of my ELS photo download. When a photo gets downloaded I write the name, date, photo site, photo id etc that was downloaded. Should at any point in time there are issues, I will know whether the person has bought the legal rights to use it.

For Zazzle etc, I think we all try the various methods to sell in places like these and for most part sales are not good. You never know which one is a hit. If someone sells your pic and its successfull...hahah..maybe its time u sell it too????
