New Sites - General / Re: Help with price on Featurepics
« on: November 19, 2006, 04:57 »
i have them at different price and i price them at the middle of microstock photos. most of them are priced at $4-$5 depending on MP with resize options. The lowest resolution for about $1.40 or so, which is mid range of stock cos most are btw $1-$2 depending on how much you buy, whether in bulk or in 10s etc.

I have sold 2 so far. I joined in Sept, sold 1 in Oct and 1 in Nov @$4 a piece and I got $2.80.

Hope this is helpful.

Adobe Stock / Re: Cheques from Fotolia

i am going to try Paypal once i can get my first payout. I am still waiting for it since joining stock in July06. Sigh...Bigstock should be able to get it soon, hopefully this month. Its been a long wait.

I am going to try paypal cos i was once given a US$ cheque and i live in s'pore. they had no alternative payment. So i bank in the cheque. The bank took more than S$20 which is more than 10% of the S$ equivalent amount as charges. I think paypal charges much much less than the banks. Banks are blood suckers. They are "loan sharks" in disguise, with credit card charges of 24%!

my vectors have been rejected twice and i have yet to apply again in istock.

but when i uploaded for initial consideration, i zip each eps separately and did not add any jpg etc. they will inspected just fine. i think it is essential when u get approval for vector, then u need to zip everything together.

not sure if that helps

i tried 3 times to apply and did not succeed. (I am approved even in istock 100 photos and shutterstock) and all their comments were rude. I thgt since so many people say they are good i will keep trying but after submitting 3 times 15 photos of what has been accepted even in istock i prob will not try again. They just dont have the friendly human touch. Featurepics i have only 1 photo sold even then i keep uploading there because the admin and people are really nice and gives nice response and helpful. They give photographers 70% and you can set ur own price. i hope they will do well in the future.

hmmm....I attempted 3 times and was rejected 3 times with teh same message of we are not looking for these type of photos. I send all the different types of photos I have. What are they looking for? Also is it worth my while to try again? Seems an utter waste of time
