123RF / Re: 123RF roaylties have changed??..
« on: September 29, 2010, 22:35 »
Also their search positioning changed considerably. Totally different images are selling for me when comparing to last month. I also track positions of my images and some are now nowhere to be found while others jumped to the front page.

Hi LostOne,

The search positioning changed is due to we're having huge influx of submission everyday. Hence, the position of your images will change accordingly. :)

Just uploaded a bunch of vectors into 123rf. They all got approved, but never showed up in my port. It has been days.

Hi desmondfun,

123RF / Re: Stats data not showing
« on: September 23, 2010, 02:09 »
Once again, I have gone for a week or more without the sales stats data showing up - everything is just zeros. When I asked about this in the past I was just told it was an old bug and there was some suggestion it was to do with the way I was browsing.

Do others have this problem and does anybody know of a cure for it?

Hi Baldricks,

Please advise us your UID thus we can check it for you. Or, you may DM us via twitter.

« on: August 19, 2010, 21:41 »
How about my second question Anglee...is there any way to bring up a list of just your own evo images? (preferably listed from most sold to least)

Hi Neotakezo,

Indeed you can view your own EVO images.
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click on "Sell images"
3. On the page of "Sell images", click on "History" tab/page

On the history tab/page, you can view the list of EVO images.

Anglee, on what criteria are the images included into EVO collection? I searched for "old man"  among EVO only and well... judge for yourself. Majority of those less-than-300 photos are from a handful of contributors only and there are a LOT of similar shots.

http://www.123rf.com/search.php?word=old+man&Submit=Search&t_word=&t_lang=en&search_evo=1&srch_lang=en&cko=0&imgtype=0&exppl=0&pplcnt=0&srchgender=0&srchage=0&exclude=&itemsperpage=100&orderby=
Just wondering... what are the criteria to submit to the EVO collection..?..

Patrick.

Hey all,

EVO submitters are by invitation only. They are selected and invited by our panel of reviewers. 123RF's reviewers will constantly keep a lookout for potential photographers among  contributors and invite them for EVO submission.

My original question was going to be this:  "Is there any way to see the downloads and/or earnings stats for EVO images?"  I'm an EVO submitter but was trying to work out whether it's actually worth submitting images to the EVO section or whether they'll just sell better as regular sub available images.  Though with the way earnings are headed there its becoming more of a moot question.

Hi Neotakezo,

We're working on it to implement the new module for everyone to see their earning stats for EVO images. At the moment, you may check each of your EVO image to view the download stats.

Many thanks,
Anglee

Thanks for the headsup! We've rectified the issue. You may check it now.

I checked it with a simple benchmark: asia landscape tropical. Quite straightforward, I guess. I want a landscape, in Asia, and in the tropics. The first page is still full of seascapes, beaches, cityskapes (Hong Kong). God forbid, there is that Athens Parthenon again, on the second place, from Fabrizio Chiruzzi. It's not a 123RF glitch, this guy is a fatal spammer. No wonder he turns up in 70 lightboxes.

http://www.123rf.com/photo_307949_temple.html

177 keywords.

architecture, worship, world, woods, wooden, wood, white, waves, water, vintage, vacation, tropical, trees, travel, tranquillity, tranquil, tradition, tourist, tourism, tin, mine, temple, technology, sunset, sunny, sundown, sun, summer, study, student, strength, street, stone, statue, stand, solitary, solid, sky, site, silhouette, seascape, sea, school, scenery, saltwater, ruins, ruin, rome, roman, rocks, road, restored, remains, religion, relic, pythian, preserved, planks, pillars, pillar, person, people, peaceful, path, palace, outline, outdoors, outdoor, omphalos, olympics, old, ocean, navel, nature, mountain, monument, mining, middleeast, man, lonliness, light, levant, lebanon, laptop, landscape, landmark, jupiter, jordanian, jordan, jerash, italy, italian, isolation, isolated, island, internet, industry, industrial, human, horizon, homework, history, historical, historic, heritage, heliopolis, hawaii, greek, gree, god, gate, games, forest, florida, europe, escape, empty, empire, east, desolate, design, deserted, delphi, delfi, decapolis, culture, cultural, cornwall, cornish, construction, connection, connect, concord, computer, columns, column, colors, coastline, coastal, coast, cloudy, clouds, cloud, clipping, classical, classic, civilization, civilisation, cityscape, city, chimney, calm, buildings, boats, blue, black, big, beauty, beach, background, baalbeck, attractions, attraction, atmospheric, atlantic, athens, athene, asia, artemis, archeology, arch, apollo, antiquity, antique, ancient, alone, acropolis

Laptop and Florida, huh? Say no more. If you allow that kind of spam, no wonder that the real asian tropical landscapes pop up on page 99999. I don't want to compete with this.

Hi FD-Regular,

Thanks for bringing up this issue. We have a system to counter/automate this issue but it was overlooked because of they're "old accounts". Our keywording specialist is on top of this now. A warning letter will be issued for these spammers. And, of course, we'll be on continual lookout.

Hi, Ben. We're unable to locate the email. Did you send it to [email protected]?

I used the "contact support" link in your website while logged in to my account and providing all the details it asked...so no, it's not an "email vanished" thing.  More likely some support guy didn't feel it worth the time to reply so he just hit the delete button.

Hi Neotakezo,

Thanks for the information. We're checking the source that causing the issue now and will respond to you via email. Please be patience with us.

Hi Neotakezo,

We've tested the email system ourselves and everything is well on our end. Have you checked your spam? May be the message has been sent to spam. You could send the email to me at [email protected] .

Thanks,

I had always XXL sales for $2.350, but my last was for only $0,92.  Something has changed?

Hi Michal812,

Thank you for the headsup. This is definitely a bug. Don't worry though. Our database still captured your earnings correctly. Nonteheless, the issue has been remedied. Please check.

It's not often I have need of contacting support on any of these sites, but a week or so ago I shot off a message to 123rf's support with a pretty simple question....no reply at all thus far...is that normal?

123RF is once more going nuts.. what is happening there????... the sales are ok but the reviewing is just crazy, or they accept all or reject all :P

Hi Luissantos84,

Thank you for your comments. We appreciate your feedback. As you know, microstock is a very unique and subjective industry. Companies like 123RF provides a platform for photographers to submit their masterpiece and image buyers to purchase these masterpiece. Over the year, we have learnt to identify the market trends and needs to benefit both contributors and image buyers.

However, as you know, all of us are human being, we learn from each other and seek for improvement. Therefore, we welcome and appreciate any feedbacks from our contributors and offer our contributors an avenue to make appeals for their rejected images by providing us the images accepted elsewhere as a comparison. We will re-evaluate the images. However, kindly be reminded that the images were still be rejected if it does not meet our acceptance policy.

Many thanks,
Anglee

Anglee, I have 47 files still in pending since a LOT OF TIME now. I have contacted [email protected] and they told me they'll look at the problem but it doesn't appear to do so. I had 4-5 batches approved since those files are in pending, do you mind to check this for me? thanks.

Hi Xalanx,

We've reviewed it. You may check your account now!

Have a great day ahead!

Thanks for that, Anglee. But I'm encountering another problem now. I uploaded today 2 batches. First one worked well as expected, it's in pending now. But for the second one I can't see the thumbnails. And I need to attach model releases, since all images are with people. Any help with that?

Hi Xalanx,

Please advise us on the method of uploading that you use to submit your images to [email protected] so that we can investigate and rectify the problem.

Cheers,
Anglee

Just did it, sent an email. The method was via FTP, as always. After the "processing" phase, I can't have thumbnails for any of my images in the second batch.

Hey Xalanx,

Thank you for your email.  We are rectifying the problem now. We'll notify you via email once the problem has been solved.

I had two L sales this week, one earned me Us$1.35, the other US$4.  I didn't know we could have such different sales prices at 123RF.

BTW, do we still get 50% in credit sales?

Hi Madelaide,

Thank you for your inquiries.

We have investigated your case and traced the files to the buyers. It appears that the file were purchased via www.inmagine.com under Value Images category. The images there are sold at much higher value. Hence, the higher revenue sharing were split with you. Congratulations on your earnings!

Hopefully this clear any confusion that arise from the discrepancy. If you have any further inquiries, feel free to contact us at your convenience.

Anglee

Kindly email your UID to [email protected] if you encounter any issues. You may reach us via facebook and twitter as well. Thanks!

Anglee,
That is so frustrating.  Why do you support facebook and twitter when you have your own site?  Doesn't that lower your position on search engine index?  It just seems ridiculous that we are directed to facebook when you have a perfectly good site.  It is almost as bad as istock sending people to thinkstock.  Except you don't even have an interest in facebook ... do you?
 ??? >:( :(

Hi WarrenPrice,

Thanks for your compliment on our site.

Facebook and Twitter of 123RF.com serve a service support channel for our clients and contributors.
