I've been in this game a long time now....over 10 years. About 6 years ago Shutterstock started going from a thing you can do for a living to why bother at all.

So....from what I see at this time on Adobe is that the EPS upload process simply does not work and at this time there is zero way to get vector content onto adobe. Am I understanding this correctly? It seems to have been like this all week.

I can't submit any .ai files. only unzipped jpegs....I guess adobe will be missing a couple batches of my work. I hope you get your site working someday. I never had a problem like this with any other major site.

This is great I've been a fan of Fotolia for 10 years with thousands of images. I see the port in my adobe account....but the uploader just does not seem to be working. I can't see my files uploaded and I can't keyword them because they do not upload. I'm uploading the correct file types. I provided an image of my screen. Kind of at a lose....does anyone know how to upload to adobe?

I feel at this point shutterstock has become an artist scam site....nothing more. Make.... shutterstock bigger so they can say they are growing so ...in theory their market stock goes up. It is my opinion the only place shutterstock can take more money is from artist commissions. I'll let my old work ride until shutterstock in gone....but I'll never post a new item on shutterstock.

After Shtterstock's new agreement update nothing really matters if you upload images onto Shutterstock as a contributor. I will never put another new image or file on Shutterstock for as long as I live. I've been on there 9 years and I'm not letting a couple hundred each month lure me into uploading any new images onto such an evil company! Good luck to anyone uploading onto Shutterstock.

Shutterstock is a awful awful company! I have not uploaded anything new in ages. After Shutterstocks newest agreement update they are by far the most evil stock company on the planet!

Shutterstock was the downfall to stock with their ridiculous 25 and 39 cent payouts for subscriptions! It is my opinion they ruined the stock industry for everyone! All of you that submit there deserve what they pay!
Nope, Getty was the downfall of the stock industry. By paying such low percentages to contributors they left the door open to competitors to sell licenses for much less while still compensating contributors, allowing them to outweigh their lower prices with much higher volume. So I guess more generally excessive greed is to blame.
No really it is Shutterstock. Shutterstock is not the friend of the contributor in any way what so ever!

I think Fotolia is awesome and I'm really happy to see it growing! I have periods each year that I have a couple months to work on stock art. Each period I see a increase in sales that sticks though the periods of time I'm not doing stock. For this reason Fotolia is awesome. Steady sales that increase as my port increases!

The title of this thread is very funny and misleading. "The doom of the industry" Fotolia/Adobe is doing better for many as even more are seeming to be seeing loses at Shutterstock. Just sayin So who is making all that money...awwww Wall Street? a couple rich dudes at shutterstock?

I remember wonderful things about istock being "market leaders" years ago You hold on to that hope of the green place

I've been in Microstock 9 years now with 7000 vectors. First I stopped uploading to istock then I stopped uploading to Shutterstock after seeing massive sales drops in both. I kept my accounts on both because I put the effort in uploading. I put all my effort moving forward into Fotolia, Dreamstime, 123RF, Canstock, Deposit and regained most of my lost earnings. Now I put up when I can and enjoy stable sales month from month.

I think Shutterstock is a awful site and even worse market company. Plus they are near all time lowers even with the fluffy earnings news. I expect a drop in commissions within a year. http://data.cnbc.com/quotes/SSTK
