I would like to have a quick way to access all my photos let's say natural landscape..in lightroom.
Is 'collection' the way to sort it? how can i add a file to the collection? i right click the images it is only to 'smart collection'.
is there a way i can quickly refer it to the collection i want? and the images in collection is just a reference, right? there is not additional folder created in hard disk, right?

I tried to create a book with blurb.. it seems quite interesting. But it seems you need to order your book before it become on sale in their store.
what is your experience with blurb?

Hi all, I am wondering do we need to remove color cast always? when we should remove and are there cases we should keep the color cast? I got this image i took during late afternoon sun, and there is a yellow cast due to the sun. W/B is set 'daylight'. By mtkang at 2011-02-23 since i shoot raw, so i can remove the color cast easily, by changing W/B to 'auto WB'. By mtkang at 2011-02-23 I took the image for editorial purpose, so i wonder do i need to remove the yellow cast? as a buyer, will the buyer reject the pictures that comes with sunset cast? I may just go for the one without color cast, since this picture doesn't interpret anything about sunset. what do you think? if there is time we should leave the colour cast as it? thank you.

Hi all,
I had joined a few images as panorama and resulted in a 1.06G tiff.
I realise that the windows explorer had problem to handle it, takes forever to open the folder with the file, and it is always a 'waiting' cursor when i select and click it.
my computer is cpu e5500 and 2g ram, does windows had problem to handle a file like 1G?
It takes sometimes to open through photoshop but okay. I end up using adobe bridge to delete that file.
Just wonder is it too big size for windows explorer?

Hi all,
I usually convert my raw file to jpg in lightroom, and export and choose sRGB as color profile..
I happened to open the raw file and edit in photoshop, then i 'save as' jpg but the color appears dull, and i notice the color space is 'prophoto' as i think it could be the reason.
But i found no way to change the color space..do i need to save the dng file to tiff first? how can i save a jpg in sRGB from a dng in photoshop CS5?
THANKS!

i was asked to enter name, country and some info that is available to public for my model release.
I don't see any reason that make my model profile available to everyone, instead of just for buyers who had downloaded the image.
Is there a way to attach model release without making the model profile for public?
thanks.

Hi,
I tried on photoshop cs5 to rasterize an eps, and everytime the setting is reset back to CMYK and 72dpi...instead of RGB and 300dpi that i want..
I google around internet, and since CS5 is not able to remember the last setting like CS3?
any solutions?

Hi all,
anyone is using lightroom?
lightroom seems remember where is your folder directory and folder name. But if you physically change the folder name or move the folder to other directory, it has problem to recognise it?
let's say i had done all post-process i need on my folder and i decided to move the folder to another directory, how can i make lightroom recognised all my post process after moving that folder?
To re-import it again? or there is some proper way to move around folder so lightroom won't get confused.

hi all,
i just notice if you upload the illustrations as vector, the maximum price is $10 eps vector. But if you upload the same illustrations as jpg format, the maximum price is XX-Large TIFF 7500x4230 px - 300 dpi $20.00
I checked my history, there are some 'vector' sales.. but since i didn't upload my vector as a jpg sales, i am not sure are some buyers looking for this kind of XX-Large TIFF?
what is your experience?

Hi all,
I notice that the 'footer' of istock, the bar down below, which shows information of balance, lightbox is not 'floating'. it should be always at below of the page, and stay 'floating' at the bottom even when u scroll down the page.
I have one google chrome at other pc works fine, but this google chrome at this pc is not working, the 'footer' is always at the end of the page, one has to scroll down all the way to see the info.
anyone knows a fix? thanks.

Hi all,
I just got a DIY computer, and run on Windows 7..
the hard drive is 500G so i would like to divide it into several drive.
I used the method that i found from internet, using the disk management, right click and choose 'shrink disk'. Total size before shrink is 476838MB, but size of available shrink space is 237344MB..
i find the shrink space size is only like half of the 500G...possible to make into partition like c: 100G, and D: 400G, i guess 100G is much enough just to install software, and use most for D: for storage.
Possible to guide me how to do it? or i should do it before installing windows? I am okay to reinstall windows since it is empty hard drive.
Thanks.

Hi all,
I know shutterstock will have a rejection about not choosing 'illustration/clip-art'..
does it mean the 'categories'? or I just need to tick the 'illustration/clip-art' option box?
thank you.

Hi all,
anyone had experienced with vectorstock?
There is an old thread but would like to get some recent feedback.
I read the FAQ even the vector should price with complexity, but it seems mostly vector are 1 credits. For new contributors, it is 25% so u got like $0.25..
do u get something more than $0.25 often (like extended license)?
thanks.

hi all,
I saw some very good rendering images that looks like a photos, when i browse around internet.
It seems some of them are using 3ds max, and i checked out the website there are 3ds max and 3ds max design, it mentions one is more for animation, and one is more for product design. Does it really make a lot of difference? basically i would like to render some interior design, but may try to make some game style figures or even animation, so does it mean i need both to do it?
I saw most interior design is with V-ray, so i need this software to integrate with 3ds max to achieve some realistic lighting?
what kind of software u are using?
thanks.

hi all, I have consolidated some informations about agencies i am contributing. check it here: http://bobobuha.wordpress.com/2010/11/02/currencies-paid-by-microstock-agencies/i paste the list here and let's me know if there is any mistake so i will edit it. It may help you to squeeze a little bit cash. 1. It seems better get paid in EURO since US currency is weak. (remember to registered fotolia through their european or UK webpage) 2. Some agencies that is US based will have a significant tax(30%) on US sales for contributors from some countries. 3. Moneybookers has lower exchange rate than Paypal. I am not so sure those agencies that get paid in US but no tax, so if you had get paid with them before, please just correct me. Agencies that Paid in US$ and Tax for US sales: Shutterstock: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-yes) Dreamstime: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-yes) Bigstock: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-yes) Veer: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-yes) fotolia: US$/EURO/UK Pounds-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax – yes), If you want to get paid in EURO or UK Pounds, please remember to register through a EUROPEAN or UK fotolia website, however it seems sometimes the website will direct you to US based webpage, so just watch out. Agencies that Paid in US$ not holding tax for US sales: istock: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-No) 123rf.com: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-No) Graphicleftovers.com: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-No) Canstock: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-No) Depositphotos: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-No) Crestock: US$-Paypal (Tax-No) Cutcaster: US$-Moneybookers/Paypal (Tax-No) Agencies that Paid in EURO and not holding tax for US sales: Zoonar: EURO – Paypal (Tax-No) Yaymicro.com: EURO – Paypal (Tax-No) Panthermedia: EURO – Paypal (Tax-No)

hi all, i am uploading files to fotolia using filezilla, i have this problem that i uploads files to fotolia and the files turns out to be many many files some are half images, half grey color, it seems like the files get interrupted during uploading and resume it. for example i upload 10 files, it comes out like 20 or 30 but most are half done ( half grey over the images).
For my filezilla size i didn't get any pop-up asking me do i want to replace the file or resume it, and none of the files is showed as failed upload too.
Did anyone see the same problem? is there a solutions?
