i saw in the symbioguides.com, using FTP to upload images to a folder directory..
what is the host of my site? it is should be in godaddy setting?

i try to connect the jetpack plugin to add a 'contact me' page..
i was asked to login to wordpress.. i tried to login with the set of username and pw i generated when i install the wordpress in godaddy but fail..
i once registered with wordpress to have a free blog, then i seems able to connect the jetpack through the set of username and password, but i didn't see the 'add contact form' button under new pages..
the so many set of username and pw are confusing.. and not sure is it the reason the 'add contact form' not appearing?
i guess i need to take a break from the installation now..
try to check again tomorrow.

i try to follow the symbiostock guide..
so i install wordpress in godaddy first.. do i need to register a wordpress account?
i was prompt to enter username and password and matched the password (i assume it is the process i registered a wordpress account?)
do i need to install under directory? i just leave the directory blank..
i then click install it and it seems the install takes long time, always 'installing'..i google it said it can take up to 24 hours?

ha, is true, the worry of talented illustrator and photographer  Hey guys, I guess some of you had their images "featured" in the top 50 images of the week. What I'm wondering is, how many dl's per day does that actually mean? My bestseller image has been downloaded around a 1000 times in around 450 days and I am wondering what is the scale here. How many times does an image has to be downloaded in a week in order for it to be in the top 50 of that week.
It used to be around 8-10 DLs per weekday. But as mentioned, the page is broken.
Be happy you haven't had anything in the Top 50. It's a cures more than anything else. Something hits the Top 50 and you've got a dozen copycats reproducing your image. It kills off sales fast.
I really hope they never fix that feature. Or if they do, give us a way to opt out of it.

if one choose scan fix, some data may actually get wiped, or usually a folder will put all found data.. so i am surprised microsoft didnt warn about it when the popup ask whether you want to scan and fix..
usually i just ignore it and use the drive as usual, but now i use it as a drive where lightroom catalog is, so it seems the drive stop and on sometimes (windows will give a sound and cursor will freeze for a second).. so i just copy out all the data and scan and fix it.
somehow the lightroom catalog files are with many many folders which make copy and paste slow process..

it could be a virus?
I google about it, it seems happen when u didn't 'eject the drive properly'.
I use the drive now for lightroom data so i want to make sure the drive won't get problem.
now i copy out the data, and after i get a windows scan and fix it will be ok?
do i need some other software to fix the bad sector?

I think istock will be more concerned if he had violated their contract. I think yuri knows that if he had violated the contract, he can get sued.

hi guys, I check many company and it seems every hosting company got different plan and different price.. i got a godaddy account so I am thinking i may just get a hosting deal with them. i saw this page. http://www.symbioguides.com/knowledgebase/symbiostock-hosting/so is godaddy ok to host the symbiostock site? but actually what is a hosting company? is it like a server space for us to put our images in internet?

I copy the catalog file to external drive n open the catalog file from Lightroom..so far so good.
Lightroom will recognize the new location of catalog file instead of the old one?
The only thing I lost are some presets I create.. U may save the preset first if u want to move catalog files.

so basically I should copy the catalog folder of my home pc to the external drive which also keep my raw files?
my existing lightroom files are kept under my home pc C:
i google the catalog file is under my pictures/lightroom/
I saw some folder 'backups', 'elareMessages', 'Lightroom 4 Catalog Previews.Irdata' which is a folder, but also an icon of lightroom as 'Lightroom 4 Catalog' ..there are some misc files as well.
which folder i should copy?
if I am using another laptop to access same external drive, i just need to make sure the drive alphabet such as H: is same then it won't get confused anymore?

I try to export a catalog, so it seems light room export together with the physical raw files? Dies it means I duplicates my raw files in this case?
My raw files are in portable hard drive, so if I export a catalog from home computer and save it same portable drive. After I had done some editing in office.. Do I have to export as another catalog again? and import the catalog to my home computer to keep it updates?

if I got a laptop in my office that I can edit my images on portable drive, and sometimes i edit my files at home using another computer.
how can i make it easy? so all the changes will be kept no matter which computer I use.
how you guys deal with it? can lightroom install on a portable drive?

so it means I still have to use the computer I had installed lightroom and photoshop? i got a new laptop in my office, and i am thinking of editing some photos in office laptop as well. No, it doesn't mean that at all.
PS and LR still reside on your local drive. The only differences are that you pay monthly for the software rather than buying a license for a one-time fee; and that the software had to be online for a once-a-month checkin with Adobe to verify that you're still subscribed. Otherwise it's the same software that works the same way.

but it seems the wacom website doesn't list intuos5 and bamboo tablet anymore.. they change the naming system? I use a Bamboo Capture at work, I think it was around $85. At home I have a small Intuos 5. The Capture does not have pen-tilt functionality but the Intuos 5 does. The Bamboo does an ok job, but the accuracy and performance of the Intuos 5 is far superior. Unfortunately, it is a lot more expensive.
At work I use the tablet when isolating product shots and I find the drawing point "sticky". I don't mean on the tablet itself, I mean as I touch the pen to the tablet, the tool in Photoshop seems to stick to the point for a second, which is enough to be noticeable. It got better with the last update of the driver, but I have never had the issue with Intuos 5.

hi guys,
i used to use wacom tablet for some hand drawn sketchings.. now I would like to get another one and it seems the wacom tablet had basically replaced wiht many new model..
what is the entry level model? did wacom rename entry level tablet as 'intuos Pen'? i know the zoom version is you can use fingers to zoom in..
but i notice there is also a lot of 'bamboo' stylus... i remember bamboo was the entry level tablet name before? it is very expensive compare to a general stylus for ipad or android tablet.. are they able to do something special like sensing pressure?
have technology changed that no one is using wacom tablet anymore?
