so what you mentioned is ricoh GRIV? but of course for some studio work, if it needs a DSLR then a lot of choice. But i guess the truth is a lot of people using DSLR for something that is good enough, including me. So i guess a snapshot on street I will need a compact. Having used compact film cameras including the Yashica T5D and a Ricoh GR1V for editorial and street work I quite like the look of the new Ricoh GR. But it doesn't have a viewfinder and I've tried and failed to get along without one. I know they have optional things that look like a jeweller's loupe and sit on top but they look stupid.
For a viewfinder with 100% view and full exposure info in the Ricoh, I would happily sacrifice video and live view which I hardly use. In street/editorial work you either got the shot or you missed it. I tend to work in AP most of the time but will even swith to P mode if things are happening fast and I also like the sound of the "snap focus" mode on the Ricoh.
So give me that and I'll use it for fast, unobtrusive street/editorial work, maybe even corporate or private event work - but I can't see myself ever using a compact in the studio or for static stock work - buy a Canon 1100d if you want quality in a small(ish) package.

it seems Ricoh GR like a popular choice for street photography, reminds me of something like olympus mju II film camera.. Ricoh GR. Fantastic lens, great chip, superb light, pocketable camera. Highly recommended if you're happy with a 28mm fixed focal length. Otherwise go for a Sony RX100 if you want zoom. Not quite as good lens or chip but still remarkable.

in my case i guess maybe from portable hard drive A to portable hard drive B is not possible.. but I think I can drag the folder to laptop hard drive.
But i end up physically move the folder through windows explorer then update the location in lightroom library.

hi guys,
I want to move a folder to external drive A to external drive B.. I tried to drag the fold in lightroom but I wasn't able to move it to another drive. I can drag the folder to hard drive on my laptop though.
It seems lightroom doesn't move files from external drive to another external drive?
so my only option is moving the files through window, and update the folder location in lightroom?
thanks.

hi Ron, So basically one must buy a domain first? then pay for a image hosting company? do i need to register with wordpress? I had never done this before Mtkang, and I managed to get mine up in a few days. Its really straight forward. A little knowledge of FTP and websites will help you a great deal though. If you have any questions just ask.

as long as it is saved as eps10 and no raster image, it should be okay? it seems all agencies had accepted esp10 nowaday.

i also have a thought of learning to build a website, even using the cms account or whatever tool, and make it able for others to join..and maybe i can learn more and manage it as stock agency. At least you have come to a stage that make a site workable and people can join as a stock agency. At least you have done something i didn't able to do it.. But an agencies that can sell is more than a website, like you need to have working connection with designers or buyers.. someone to answer the call, someone to do things as usual company. good start, at least you have started a website which with stock agencies features... many of us who doesn't have a knowledge to do it yet.
I agree, I laughed at first, but it is a nice site indeed. Too bad there are no images to be found.

the upload limit is fine,
but can the files stayed there instead of sending them as invalid uploads..
one needs to check again what is missing and what had been uploaded..

GL upload limits doesnt make sense, all the uploadings after upload limits just become invalid..
possible to make it as 'submission limit'? so at least all uploadings can be finished, instead of need to check what had been uploaded and what had been missing.

i think some website generate a preview that around the edge of artwork that makes it doesn't look nice..
i saw some in canstock, not sure about other site..
but I thought it is a common practise eps vector will leave little space for artwork..

What you refer is in illustrator right? the artboard is recognised in illustrator, but usually if i open the eps in photoshop, it is always fit to the edge of vector instead of the artboard. anyway, i figure out one of the solution is using a clipping mask? make the transparent as clipping mask instead of just plain border. I select the box and made the artboard fit to the 'transparent' box, and delete the transparent frame.
I assume some eps buyer will just open the file like in photoshop, but it is always clipped to the edge of the vector instead of the edge of artboard.
Can't really figure out what is the solution..
When exporting to a JPEG, make sure to tick the option "Use artboards" in the lower left corner of the Export dialog. That way, it won't crop your image to the contents, but use the artboard as its borders, leaving the empty space intact. If you have one artboard , your JPEG will get the suffix "01" added to the filename, i.e. yourimagetitle-01.jpg.
