ha, it is amusing to think this way, i think they are not even really paid in commission of certain percentage or blah blah basically the sales details is not clear.. like u will even get sth like $0.0x cents.. do u can about what is your percentage of the few cents? Lots of sales, low commissions but aits one of the few sites that hasnt cut commissions

there is a lock up period like 1 year or 2 year? can't really remember.. and it seems like if u didn't request of closing the account, the contract will continue something like these.. can't really remember the details, but i think i found it wasn't fair.
I put up only few images just to see how..
I got a few little sales from a small portfolio...and it is common u will get $0.01 sales..more insulted than giving it free.
$0.01 commission..just didn't sound right from top, down, right, left every angle.

Hi all,
I need to transfer the adjustment of images to new folder.
But due to some reasons, i can't update the adjustment to new folder.
the old folder is as APPLE01\101_A
then new folder is APPLE02\101_A
both are been imported to lightroom, so when i browse the old folder in lightroom, the adjustment is there, but a question mark on the folder saying the folder is not found.
I tried to use the 'find missing folder' and look for the new folder with different parent folder..a message is prompt to say to merge, but after merging, the new folder isn't update with the adjustment.
Is it due to the parent folder is not same?
I know I should have moved the folder by using lightroom, instead of changing it outside the lightroom.
But what i can do now to move the folder adjustment?

a shift is a must in a subscription sites i guess..
i am sure the most of existing customers have downloaded 80% of most popular images.. and they won't download it.. but if a shift to bring out new images which got potential then it makes customers happy..and your potential images got an chance to get consistent downloads.
We should be happy shutterstock is really thinking how to improve sales, right?

I notice alamy giving a lot of discounts or sales deal lower price that listed price on the ecommerce..so i guess they are dealing with a lot of customers in different way.

how small is your images?
I guess you better get a better camera, it doesn't take a good camera to make a good pictures, but if you are interested to learn how to make money out of images, then a good enough camera is a must.
If your images meet alamy then maybe submit there..
i find no point to put in collages especially you mentioned it is related to japan, so i guess it is a cultures stuff?
sometimes it is just depressed to think those collages earns u 50 cents or 1 dollar.. even it is a beautiful images it doesn't guarantee great return sometimes.

i think sometimes i got too many USB port..
anyway, it is a mistake..like I was kind of loose in mind and not concentrated..
well, i guess it is just a reminder of backup again.. if a failed hard disk or stolen laptop..it won't be a real loss.

because this camera naturally took a format slightly longer..like 2232x3968, it looks rectangular.. i was thinking trying to resize it to a more like normal ratio.. want to see if the distortion terrible.. I can do it in photoshop, but i wonder how to do it in lightroom? or there is no? It depends on what you want to do, coz what you explain is not resizing but cropping.
So do you want to resize or crop?
If you want to resize then you click export and then go to Image Resizing > choose pixels or width height. Fill out the values. i.e. 6mp or 3000x2000 but LR will keep aspect ratio locked.
If you want to crop then click the Crop Overlay symbol in DEVELOP tab. You can choose from the set ratios or put in a custom one and then you can crop to the required size.

took sometimes and able to recover all the files.. it seems is okay to use the C: drive of this computer while I accidentally format the partition D: which share the same harddisk..
there are quite a few good software..some are very good like even able to preserve the directory and folder.
But like you guys said..always backup, it can be a hard disk hardware crash..hard disk get stolen, laptop get stolen..
But if there is a way to prevent accidentally format a Drive? like lock a drive?
when i plug in my portable drive..USB..sometimes it becomes F: G:..and all Alphabets are confusing and make me format the wrong drive at that moments.

like i got this picture 4000x2000, i want to make it like 3000x2000, and even it will get distorted..lightroom since will remain the proportion.

what i think is istock has very tedious uploading procedures..and IPTC data is not read for vector..
i uploaded some jpg through deepmeta.. but then need to go through every files..
I find the rejections is a lot..for reason like too simple or poor keywords and pick on pixel quality which is fine for other sites.
Generally, i am only able to get like 10 percent of my portfolio in istock..
I tried to add more..but sometimes i would rather just spend time on shutterstock and alamy, the return is higher.

it seems kind of troublesome like one require to send a tax form to them or won't get paid..
some agencies got online form that is quick..i don't know why some agencies won't do so.

there is always a line of so called freedom..and many people are claiming freedom to do things that hurt others... i remember a quote like a lot of bad things are going on in the disguise of freedom..personally i will think what is your freedom of speech to say something about a person that had passed away and u have never met, and u weren't there..and u don't know what exactly happened except..an article. I think its nonsense to remove freedom of speech, spoken or written, makes no difference. Discussing a matter doesnt necessarily cause grief either.

i am using this laptop with all program on C: and the D: i format is only for data storage.. both drive are same HD but i divide into C: and D: partition, should i stop using this laptop? i am running some recovery software on this laptop.
