Adobe Stock / Re: Infinite collection qualilty
« on: May 04, 2008, 14:14 »
The infinite collection, at least in its beginnings, are/ were a so called TPRF-collection from some macro site. If a collection like this arrives at the end of its contract it just gets handed down to the next site. Some of this images are stone-old and completely out-dated. Fotolia would have spend their money better by building up an own premium collection from the images of its best submitters instead of acquiring this crap! Just like 123rf does at the moment with its EVO-collection. Just my 2cents, SY

I heard on another forum that they closed down and when I click the url above it says "can't find server" anybody more info? SY

@Maunger: You might want to add an amazon-store to your blog, kind of "gear/ books I have and recommend" or "Things on my wishlist".

@massman Yes, Mitch used my link and it worked ;-) but before anybody things that I can retire now, amazon has a 60days gap before they pay you  ;)

Dreamstime.com / Re: Additional Format
« on: April 23, 2008, 17:02 »
I ignore them too.  Not only because of the money, but because my RAWs are the best way to prove ownership of the photo.

Agreed 100%, I don't give away my "digital negative" SY

Yep, I think I just stop uploading for a while, but keep my account etc. their background sounds too good to give up to early and yes I agree, yaymicro is a first class example how a new site should go public  ;D SY

PS There is a referral link in my signature if anybody wants to use it...

Ok, I submitted my first dozen, but it seems the iptc data is read rather randomly... Some images have a few key words, some none at all, some have descriptions, some not, some titles, some...OK, you got the picture! I uploaded the same batch to yaymicro and all went through well. No way I fill out all their multiple fields by hand at pixburger... SY

ImageVortex.com / Re: how is ImageVortex?
« on: March 29, 2008, 16:05 »
Still only having the one only sale, I think what I will do is uploading a bunch more- haven't uploaded in ages to IV- brave myself to bear the rejections and wait a couple of months if they produce more sales, if not they can donate my meagre earnings of $ 15.75 to charity... SY

This is one they rejected last weekend for limited blabla due to framing and/or cropping and/or composition. How should I crop then? add 20 megabytes of grey space around the shot?

Whoever s/he was, it was completely blind! Honestly Flemish I don't know your WHOLE portfolio but from what I know so far it is the best shoot ever! Sweet concept of teenage/ young people in love, simply gorgeous! SY

Sorry, but as a US citizen, German law is so socialist that I wouldn't want anything to do with a company that wants to claim German law governs.

P.S. I'm so far democrat that many of my coworkers call me the "commie".

Pardon me??? Would you mind to explain this a bit further, I am normally not nationalistic at all but this is a bit too much!!! SY *And yes, I am German!*
