14 downloads this month including 2 SODs and I haven't made 2 dollars yet. When I have typed this I am going back to SS and disabling my portfolio. If they don't back peddle by the end of June I will close my account.

Crestock.com / Re: Crestok has just filed for bankruptcy

Probably a total waste of time but I have just sent a second request to them asking them to close my account, pay outstanding royalties and STOP SELLING MY IMAGES, not that they ever sold many.
I have also spelled out that to carry on selling my images will not only be a a breach of copyright but could also be fraudulent as they have no means or intention to pay royalties.
Not even expecting an answer to be honest, but sometimes life can be full of surprises.
I do wonder if enough people contacted them using words like breach of copyright and fraud it might provoke some response from them or at least some sort of communication.
Think I will change my ID to "the eternal optimist"

Still selling and paying out promptly for me.

Had a sale for 15 cents today, one step closer to removing my portfolio, haven't uploaded anything there for years, just not worth it.

Yes, and getting worse.

Thanks for that. I couldn't find the links to the agency which supplied them. If I tried the link with my name it just took me to the rest of my portfolio but without attribution to any agency. I will try again and see which agencies they are affiliated to.

Slightly off topic but I couldn't work out how to start a new thread.
Does anyone know anything about GoGraph or freeart.com. Both are selling and/or giving away my images but without links to an agency. Are they affiliates or just thieves? I hope someone here can give me a definitive answer before I contact them.
Thanks,
Mike.

Maybe some of the tumbleweed blew into their servers

Bigstock.com / Re: Is it worth it?
« on: September 06, 2019, 13:59 »
I can only imagine the impact it has on sales and I don't know how or when it happened, but some time ago I looked at some of my images on Bigstock and noticed that somehow the images had all the wrong keywords and captions which belonged to other images in my portfolio. As BS is such a low earner anyway I stopped uploading there and didn't bother contacting support.
It would be interesting to know if anyone else has had the same experience.

No, but I have very rarely had rejections for dust spots in the past and every time the reviewer has been right and seen something I missed.

62
Started about a week ago for me. Even though I have only been sending small batches daily (less than 10) almost half of them never appear and have to be submitted with different captions. After the latest massive drop in sales I am seriously thinking about not submitting any more until something changes. First the payment for ELs was reduced and then they almost stopped after the introduction of the SODs, now the SODs seem to have stopped as well.
Maybe there is a good reason that SS like to keep contributors guessing what they are up to in case we all rebel and stop uploading content.

63
When I say well used I mean really well used. I think it is just showing it's age like me.

64
My ageing and well used Canon 5D Mk 2 has developed a nasty habit of occasionally altering the exposure settings without my help.
The annoying thing is that the top screen shows my normal setting but checking in the menu settings usually reveals it has set to overexpose by a stop or two.

The way things seem to be going we just might make more money if the agencies pursued the thieves and shared the proceeds with contributors.

123RF / Re: 123rf reducing commissions
« on: May 05, 2018, 08:54 »
I stopped uploading months ago but after getting two sales for $0.15 and 0.17 yesterday (the $0.15 was for "super" resolution) whatever that means, I have decided to close my account if I ever reach payout again. which is very unlikely given the pathetic sales over the last year.

123RF / Re: upload issue?
« on: May 05, 2018, 01:54 »
I would not bother uploading there.
My sales have dwindled almost to nothing and yesterday I had two downloads for less than 0.2 dollars
One was for a "super" resolution, whatever that means for $0.15.
I stopped uploading to them months ago and if I ever reach payout I will remove my portfolio.

So far Easter Monday was the best day for me. Sales have dropped almost to nothing since.

Same thing here.
Yesterdays sales were showing but have disappeared again.

Can someone explain how their system works when they are offering our vectors for free.
I just checked the site and found lots of my partners and my vectors there but clicking on them links back to shutterstock. Presumably they are a Shutterstock affiliate.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Request for web extended license (W-EL)
« on: January 28, 2018, 08:37 »
I received one but what surprised me was when I went to enable it on the Dreamstime site  I found that about half of my portfolio had ELs disabled.
I usually enable them at upload.

Also have Filezilla warning of an invalid security certificate when trying to upload today.

73
Seems to be a bit of a glitch.
I submitted 10 images yesterday and none are showing up as  pending even though 8 of them are already approved and the other 2 are showing in the approval status page as pending.

Pond5 / Re: Can not FTP to Pond5
« on: January 14, 2018, 09:49 »
I have been having problems with the Pond 5 uploader recently.
It is a pain but the only effective way to upload at the moment which works for me is to use the site uploader and send no more than 2 files at a time.

75
Thanks a lot, just what I was hoping for.
