do you have the motor drive? If not see if you borrow one to see if that can drive the unit

can you upload a sample of the spot

I am done with you, youvare nothing but a troll who thinks his opinion is correct because he has been here longer and has more posts.

And yes you have sais something negative about Steve, you accused him of trying to make money with his blog post. Your story changes from post to post.

29
First you deny that you are not criticizing and now you are  trying to make a excuse that you have that right. How about keeping your mouth shut. And yes, I am saying this filer is a lot cheaper than a F2 20mm lens that chase has been choosing, or flash setups and Joe has been pushing.

Funny I see you that you pushed a service that was referral, kind of hypocritical of you

On today's market photographers are trying everything to make a profit. They push equipment, they are giving seminars and trips to keep a float.

You are acting like the typical internet troll.

I could not disagree more with your whole statement. Read any blog by Moose Peterson, Chase Jarvis and Joe McNally. Every one of their post is about buying a piece of equipment. But after reading all of their blogs I have to buy a single piece of equipment. And some of those lenses and flashed make this filter look cheap.

And you are criticizing.

The nice thing about photography, we all have the capacity to choose how we make our images. If Steve wants to use a filter to create the photograph he wants that is his choice. I happen to agree with him. I rather make my image in camera rather than in post production.  Do not critique or criticize his method but his photos.

Great article, would you mind me putting that on my blog and giving you
a back link to your site

Software / Re: Why is Lightroom so painfully slow ?
« on: April 07, 2014, 20:09 »
I have a new screamer of a machine.  32 ram, SSD drives, gamer video card.  The slow point for me is having my photos on a USB drive that goes to sleep all the time.

Can I ask what VC did you go with?

Why not just a sole proprietorship? I am closing my corporation after 32 years for a lot of reasons. Mostly to save money and simplify my life. Unless you have liability concerns, why incorporate -- and the corporate vail can be broken.

Their can be be liability issues going with a sole proprietorship. My main income comes from property rental and every single piece of property is its own corporation.

May I point out thay many of the old XP machines will be great Linuxed based platforms and should be able to be good for many more years

I usually do not speak out on someone  comments but your comment was quite rude and vey very ignorant. Many people put many hundreds of hours trying to something different and you in one stupid moment in your life try to destroy all of their hard work. Shame on you.

Symbiostock / Re: Is this project dead?
« on: February 25, 2014, 19:29 »
Following on from http://www.microstockgroup.com/index.php?topic=22029.0 I think some urgent clarification is needed as in will critical and security updates be released or is the project completely dead? Best to know now so we can switch to an alternative solution for selling images and not waste our time.

What critical or secrurity issues are you talking about? I am completely unaware of any?

PITA = Pain In The A$$. You know the kind. They send you an email and after reading it you immediately think "if I accept them as a client I'm going to lose money". What do you do with them?

While in the computer business I had people come in that I knew that they were going to be trouble. They usually were the ones that would have their computers infected by viruses or malware.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Property Release Question?
« on: February 16, 2014, 19:45 »
I have tried submitting some images of Blue Prints to SS and was rejected because they said I needed a Property Release. The Blue Prints are from the 1940 - 1950's, is  there any thing I can do if the company who drew them are no longer in business?

Thanks!

Just because the company is out of business does not mean that they still do not own the copyright to that design.  Is the name of the draftsman appear on the blueprints?

I have been in the computer sales/service business since 1986. I can't tell you how many times I have people come in who want me to load Windows 7/8 or the latest version of OS/X. I ask them idf they have the DVD's or at least the license to show they purchased it. And many times when they buy a new computer they want to know what extra software I am going to load on the computer (ie Photoshop, MS office). When I explain to hem that is theft and copyright violations, I get this blank stare or they come up with that these companies are worth Billions and what would it hurt.

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Canon T5i
« on: January 10, 2014, 03:03 »
Iam going to disagree with the other gentleman, the camera you have is great. I started ouit with a 6.1MP camera and a basic zoom and did great work. As time goes on and if you can afford it buy a new lens toe expand your focal length choices. And remember to have fun with your photography.
