Here is how I would change it. This works better for ads and general promotion in communicating what they do for new customers and many may not know IS sells audio.

They can add the "by Getty Images" in the ads or text but let the logo stand alone. And kill the TM. Not needed and in the wrong place anyway.

The IS aqua for the "i" works well and makes the design more stylized.

The ads shown on that link are horrible. Is there a creative director in the house? Too much myopic thinking and assuming too much of the viewer. Most will just not get it.

Also if this is a new campaign launch, what is new? Give me reasons to want to buy from IS. What is presented as unique and different from the OLD iStockphoto we all know? They should talk about the unique "only from iStock" offering. Because all of the other microstock sites are just moving all the same content. There is no real inventory for them. Is the site faster? Easier to navigate? Better pricing? Don't give me just vague obscure meaningless headlines.

But at least Getty is making changes and I credit them for that. I would just like a little more refinement and cleaner thinking.

So are you assuming this young recently married couple who are graphic designers have it all figured out? How so?

As the OP I used to buy alot of stock YEARS ago and now only by a few a year for my design clients. Perhaps they are targeting me thinking I headed over to Shutterstock. This campaign could be for competing against SS. Still sucks.

Geeezzz... just got a call from Getty (to voicemail) from a guy pushing THINKSTOCK and various subscription plans and he sends me an email as well with a big pdf promo with all the sub plans and other features of THINKSTOCK...

As a buyer...I guess he did not know I was also an  exclusive contributor with iSTock/Getty and NOT part of THINKSTOCK and hate sub plans.

Interesting that Getty is NOW calling all the istock buyers, pushing THINKSTOCK. Thanks GETTY for making us exclusives feel so f~ing special.  ::)

My concern that Getty will make istock commissions 20% (fixed) for exclusives to reduce expenses. You KNOW this has to be on their minds. But they must also know the fallout and backlash would be significant and possibly drive away MORE of their "valued" content base.

They  have to stop bleeding money from their greedy stupid debt load they created.

Looks like they are keeping that horrible SPOT REMOVAL tool. Gawd I hate that thing. How about adding a cloning tool and spot healing. I hate having to run over to PS to clean up stuff. Comon Adobe cut the crap.

The new interface at IS states "Only From Istock" for exclusive files. Is the purpose to inform buyers that you don't need to shop around to find this image cheaper elsewhere? Has that been a real problem?

My fear is that it will eventually mean to buyers that these images are gonna cost you a whole lot more.

I have often wondered how important it is to buyers that a certain image can only be found here at iStockphoto. As a buyer myself, it does not mean much.

I explored the point and shoot idea as well. Just not worth it. If yer gonna shoot for money, bring the big boys.

iStock has sort by options that include : Contributor, size and title. what? I get alot of surveys from them and always tell them to delete those. Really who would use those and for what?

Contributor: if you want more photos with an unique style, made by the same contributor
Size: if you need image with a minimum size
Title: I don't see a lot of utility to this

Contributor: is alphabetical -- really useless
Size: no choice. largest first.. uhhh?
Title: again alphabetical. Seriously??
