Has anyone got sales since the announcement?
I haven't seen a single sale since the announcement.

I have got more then average sales on SS since the announcement.

152
At least they kept the royalty rates.

Well, not exactly - They will lock the RC level you will achieve by the end of this year:
"Yes- we can confirm that we will lock your royalty rates at the end of the year, ensuring your royalty does not decline in 2015.
If you achieve your target to move up based on 2014 RC targets, you will be locked in at the higher rate."

Looks like by the end of this year I will go down one level and then they will lock me there forever.  :'(

153
Seems I was wrong about one thing - it seems they are grandfathering in rates: "we can confirm that we will lock your royalty rates at the end of the year, ensuring your royalty does not decline in 2015. The rate you are earning now is the rate you will keep in 2015. If you achieve your target to move up based on 2014 RC targets, you will be locked in at the higher rate. "

It was long expected they will drop the RC system.
They call it "locking RC current level"

154
Actually iStock is moving backward not forward:
1. As expected they brought back the old 2 tier collections model: exclusive and non-exclusive
2. As expected they are throwing away / locking the RC system by the end of this year
3. The next expected step will be the removal of Thinkstock

Is Fresh Match disappeared from iStock?

iStockPhoto.com / Re: istockreseller.com - Scam site?
« on: July 24, 2014, 04:43 »
Looks like this site is finally dead.  I get the following message when I try to access the site.  "It works!  This is the default web page for this server.  The web server software is running but no content has been added, yet."
istockreseller.com is up and running?

money is not everything - there is a little thing called moral
So true.
DPC is the worst agency for selling your images.

I sell in DPC, but the rise is not from there...
Why do you support fotolia DPC?
Why did not you remove your 7000+ images from DPC?

When they put the prices up - the price sensitive clients left. Those clients who staid with iStock were able to pay higher prices for higher quality strictly curated collection.
But iStock screw it by flooding search results with all this garbage.

"These ports are so similar as they were made by the same person.
Could be another Yuri's style special deal."

You can concoct conspiracies all day long, but I can absolutely guarantee you that this is not the case.
I sincerely apologies for my irresponsible comment. I removed it from my post.
I think you should submit a request to SS to remove this content.

161
Weird.
These ports are so similar as they were made by the same person.
I think you should submit a request to SS to remove this content.

162
These payouts are a total ripoff.  >:(

Getty sales and Getty360 are coming in now.
What is the difference between Getty and Getty360?

I don't see why they would close TS now that's already settled and running just fine. It would only loose customers on the transition. Also as a contributor I prefer 2 websites, two search engines and because IS barely sells anything, it would complicate the situation of new files.
From a business perspective it simply doesn't make sense to me unless I am missing the strategic buyer hook that makes it necessary. They have costs associated with running two sites. From a buyer perspective I don't want to have to jump to a different site if I don't like the search functionality of a sister site. They should have one site that kicks ass, aligns with customer needs and expectations and is populated with good product from contributors.
iStock subscription plan (iStock Essentials) is actually cheaper then Thinkstock's subscriptions.
Getty will close Thinkstock and will move all it's clients back to iStock.
They tried to build 3 tiers model with macro=Getty, mid=iStock and cheap subs=Thinkstock but it failed to compete against SS.
Now they are changing it into 2 layers macro=Getty and micro=iStock

165
Interesting news. Thanks for posting.

The place is in freefall and most exclusives are waiting for the right moment to leave.
If the place is in free fall why to wait for the right moment to leave?
What is the right moment to leave? When the place will hit the ground?

Dreamstime.com / Re: Nightmare on Dreamstime
« on: July 15, 2014, 13:03 »
Summer is slow every year; Dreamstime is going worse than 123rf though, which is at about 51% of $$ and 65% of downloads for last July

Apparently so. The OP's first link leads to an error page.

All do now.

Yep

170
What became of iStock lately?
iStock is so despair to reach SS?
No more quality control?
The floodgate opened, everything uploaded = accepted?

171
They're only checking your files aren't elsewhere. If you meet the standards (250 dls @50%AR or 500dls), there isn't any other filter on exclusivity.
Hope it works out for you.  ::)

50%AR?
The new iStock policy is 100% acceptance rate for anything uploaded. Of course if you succeeded to upload:

iStockPhoto.com / Re: PP Sales for Jun 2014 have started
« on: July 12, 2014, 13:41 »
I got some of the beginning of June. I'm new to Istock. Do they do the whole month at once, or do they start trickling in over time?

I'm having the hardest time figure out what's selling where, when and how much. Is there a good place to do that like on Shutterstock and most other sites?

Rob - They do the whole month (the previous month actually) in one go, but it usually takes about 3 to 4 days.

You may look into this thread for a script that provides you with the PP details. http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=352385&page=1
The basic IS PP functionality will only give you the total PP sales that has occurred for an image so far. The script will give you the individual sale (how much and when) details. You will have to work backward based on the $-amount to see what kind of image pack sale it would have been :) You need to use this royalty schedule - http://www.istockphoto.com/help/sell-stock/rate-schedule

thanks :)
