So many lately. Maybe their AI (Artificial Intelligence or Absolute Idiot) review system flags this up every time it meets a word it doesn't recognize eg a place or town name.
I'd be even more irritated if they were still selling as well as before. Now I tend to just sigh and move on....
But crazy.
PS If they don't reject for Title they reject for Editorial. A picture of a road bridge for heavens sake.....
Beyond the pale......

Sales truly feeble recently, all tiny sums.

Just hope that decent sales aren't going to be replaced by contests, 'community' and other such 'fun' stuff like at 500px......

:(

Keywording not good.
Mountain where no mountain, yellow where no yellow, holiday maker where I see no holiday maker etc etc etc.

Just thanked me for changing password. I didn't.  :(

Hello,
Any experience with EyeEm and 500px? Time ago I discarded them because of lack of watermark, EyeEm did not read IPTC and I think something with exclusivity when sent to Getty... I see 500px still has no watermark. So...
Do those sites read IPTC?
In what case do they require exclusivity?
Do they accept editorial?
Thank you in advance!
Recent sales at 500px almost all 4 cents a time. Via Getty.

General Stock Discussion / 500px end of year 4 cents
« on: January 11, 2020, 02:09 »
Well, it seems that on the last day of 2019 4 sales come through. After nothing for months. Looks like somebody kicked the accounting machine and it finally went and did a reccy.
Two were half decent but two were via Getty. These latter 4 cents apiece.
So wish we could get out of that Getty deal.

Using stocksubmitter:
URL: ftp.canva.com

use ftp login ie username
use ftp password

ftp Directory:  username/brandname
port 22

max threads 2

Underneath check sftp mode AND ftp over ssh mode

Sorry, I do not use Filezilla but maybe this can still shed some light.

I still can't ftp, despite changing settings as per email....

But DP do special deals from time to time which are MUCH cheaper. Which is why I buy from them when I need an image. And the photog earns something. OK, lots of the BEST images aren't on DP but if I had to pay SS rates, I would have to make do with all my own photos, and the photog would earn nothing.
If I was rich, or ran a big company where top quality really mattered, then yes, much of the best stuff is elsewhere and I would choose another site.
That's the reality of it.

113
Have I not been paying attention lately...or is this a new thing?
LOADS of images on PBay are marked 'sponsored' by SS or Canva. They are still available for free.....
:(

114
No, looking into this, Stocksubmitter seems to think I have no subscription in my Account at the moment....
There is money available. Any ideas please?

MicrostockSubmitter / Live chat flashing as if there is a message

but it only links to the website that says Live Chat isn't working at the moment.
Is this forever or just a glitch?

Noticed that a New Year 2014 image, featuring that date, had sold a couple of times so updated it to 2019.
Rejected for being similar!
Laugh or cry....!!!!!

iStockPhoto.com / Istock Deepmeta now offer predicted keywords
« on: November 18, 2019, 03:31 »
I think this is new!
Any thoughts? I found predictions were pretty good but gosh was it slow...to check their suggestions, and then my keywords....

I think SS want us to promote our photos to our people. For subs.
I used to think that was why they took so much of the money - cos they promoted OUR images to THEIR people.
This may be a wrong interpretation
but exciting news has a poor track record in microstock!
:(

122
I'd at least like the ability to actually organize sets!

123
It will arrive but text here:  'We have some exciting updates coming up for our Shutterstock contributors. These will help our customers get to know you a bit more and enable you to better showcase your great work!

We cant share any details beyond that (for now) but we highly recommend you take another look at your Shutterstock Portfolio page.

Make sure you have an updated (larger) profile photo, add your website plus any social media handles, and tell us more about yourself by updating your tagline and creating a bio. You also might want to get your image and footage sets tidied up - especially the footage ones *hint hint*.

Go give your portfolio page some TLC and stay tuned for some exciting updates coming your way!'

124
Just seen the email. Update your profile etc etc etc.
Brace yourselves guys....

Canva / Re: More ''Good news'' from Canva :-/
« on: October 08, 2019, 01:54 »
They are definitely liars. I remember not long ago the deactivation of fotolia files when they created the dollar Photo Club.

Anyone who sells their entire portfolio for $ 12 is an idiot auction that only deserves to be downloaded by a pirate and resold.

The idea has always been 'single USE' within a Canva production. That is, the full res image was not actually downloaded to the client. Has that changed? Can people actually download for future use - in anything?
