I can't find the answer on the DT forum - but once you get the email about an old (more than 4 years) photo, how long do you have to take action before it winds up in the free section by default (which I don't want)? I guess if push comes to shove I can still go and deactivate in the free section....

I recently came across a dead sheep in a field - it had been savaged and killed by wolves - an increasing problem round here. Fairly generic dead sheep, green field, no buildings, nothing special. And FT wanted a property release!!!

Sorry about this - no intention to hijack the thread - but I have just seen reference to a thread about Getty giving LOTS of images away. But I can't find the thread.
Anybody care to point me in the right direction?

Ta.

PS I agree the IS subs thing is definitely A BAD IDEA !

Another vote here for Payoneer. Please keep us posted on how we actually set up our accounts to choose this form of payment!

Adobe Stock / Releases
« on: February 12, 2014, 04:55 »
I recently got a few photos rejected for not having releases. One was of an old perfume bottle, another a bunch of flowers on a very boring windowsill in my house (nothing specific - normal sill and white net curtain behind).
Is this normal???
I don't normally pay much attention to FT....but for once I went and had a look!

123RF / Subs payment down?
« on: February 03, 2014, 05:39 »
All my subs for Feb are back to 21 cents!! Last months they were 28 c - hardly a fortune but better!
I'm wondering if there is a glitch in calculating Royalties for the new month. Anybody else noticed this?

CanStockPhoto.com / Statistics! How much did I earn????
« on: February 02, 2014, 04:48 »
OK - I'm sure I'm missing something simple here BUT.....
is there a way to see the total of how much I earned last month on CS?????

If I go to Statistics and run a report, download it into Excel, I still cannot see any totals - nor add them up myself due to the format. (For the current year anyway it's fairly hypothetical because, just to add to the fun, 2014 is not yet an option for any report yet!)

The only solution I can see is to get my trusty old calculator and sit there manually inputting and adding...

Often, sales are so few, it's not a big problem.

BUT I'm guessing I'm missing something REALLY OBVIOUS!

Please can anybody help?

My month was just okay, which I figured would happen with the Christmas dropoff. However, I also have two exceptional days...18 and 19. I didn't make that many more sales those days, but my earnings were much higher.

And now I'm back to wondering if those two days are wrong or if the other 29 are purposely under-reported.

Me too. Same days.
Sigh...............!

My 'good' month is almost entirely due to just two 'exceptional' days. Is there a way to see what was actually downloaded in PP? It all seems very dark and mysterious to me. Maybe there were a couple ELS .... a stolen credit card ......  or something.....
?

I do not understand one thing.

In every organized country in the world, with law and statutes and constitution there is something, excuse my English, called "work inspection".

These people checks if everything is regular, or by the law or contract with contributors. Everyone can call them if questioning some company doesn't work like it is stated by the contracts with worker or contributors.

I really doubt that Canada doesn't have these kind of inspections and that it isn't possible to check sales on sites like photos.com or thinkstock.com.

Is any contributor here from Canada and what can he/she say about it?

excuse my English, please.
A financial audit by independent accountants should check at least the numbers are correct ie that they are paying us what they say and that they have (?) robust accounting systems in place so the financial side is reliable.
I'm guessing they got a clean bill of health in their (last) audit(s) or surely we would have heard. Anybody know?

Mine's so low it can't drop.....at least, the percentage can't.....
