I tried it dollar amounts were correct. Download numbers were off though. Fun tool though.

I think istock will remain the big player. Their connection to getty really helps them. Dreamstime is also a solid contender. After these two Fotalia,Stock Expert are the next tier. Then who is fifth and sixth is wide open with Stock exchange,Bigstock and others in play.
With the addition of lots of other players it will interesting to watch who fall out of the second tier. Which one of these can make the jump into the first tier. Canstock has been around the longest of these tier two companies but it does not appear to have gained ground. LO and 123 will be interesting ones to watch.
I think microstock will see growth for the next several years. The model is sound and it is obvious that microstock has had an impact on the image business. As more designers and markets in Asia start to tap into this we all can experience success. But like any business there is a saturation point and an inevitable contraction of the players in the field. I would be surprised to see more than four or five real players in five years.
I also would bet that companies continue to try to lock up talent. If the same picture is on 5 sites then the buyers have no incentive to work exculusively with one image source.

For me ISTOCK and dreamstime are the two best. Bigstock is OK and I have no luck on Fotalia. I do upload to two smaller sites Canstock and Lucky Oliver. Canstock is a slow site but I've been there for a long time and I've a lot pics there. LO is new and I'm hoping it pics up.

This site drives me nuts. I have good sales but there rejection rate is about 70% in fact I just had 15 out of 15 rejected. The same pics on other sites were about 70% acceptance rate.

With 140 photos I'm stuck at $1.20 in sales. I've stopped uloading and just waiting to see what happens.

I've been with this site since 2004 and have more photos there than anywhere else but their sales have been slow. I am curious as to what those who are having success are selling there.

I got one of those rejections and the result is that I end up using fewer keywords. I wonder if this is a common problem?

Thank you all for the invitations to join CN's I added all who asked. Now I encourage you all to review and make comments on photos. I have started to do so. I also maintain several light box galleries. If you have photos that would make good additions let me know.

I've dabbled for about 2 1/2 years at various sites. This is strictly a hobby time activity for me. Though it has allowed me to upgrade my equipment.

I am very interested to see how this industry shakes out. Right now there are too many sites. At some point there will be contraction and consolidation. With six big sites and more and more other sites I wonder just how many will be viable in the next two years.
