« on: February 14, 2013, 20:15 »

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Where my USD coming from?
« on: October 31, 2012, 03:50 »
Check the IS website everyday and always found some USD get into my accout.however, when i tried to check where the revenue come from with which foto---------nothing available in IS website? The worst/best case is last  time,I got almost 100USD but nobody told me which photo contribut it.

Any Helpdesk guy working with IS here?  :P
Anybody has the same experience?

Since some time last Friday, they have been adding Partner Program sales from September - you'd see green bars on the September stats on your user_view page if that's where your money came from.

Hi,Where can i find the " September stats " as you said?

can't believe the 85mm f1.2 II is not on the list, that's the only lens I have, that makes it is THE most frequently used for me.

Sorry, that's really fancy lense and i put it back... :P

31
Hi, join this survey and find the result which is the MOST popular lense that we are using.
If you think missed one important lense, pls just let me know with comments @caption  :D

32
Here are my stats:
SS 2150 files  - around 700$ per month
IS  2117 files -  around 900$ per month
Of course I'm not satisfied with $ but hope to get better in the future. Well it' very much depends on quality(first) than quantity,  keywords ....... of port. I don't have illusion that MS is easy and fast way to earn money. After 20 years dealing with photography I"m still learning the MS how to improve myself not to be a better photographer but how to be a good seller with sense what buyers want. It is pure business and nothing to do with art. Sad but true.
That's my point of view, maybe I'm wrong but that's it.
Best

I have to agree with Loop.

My photos are far from commercially viable, but I made about 100 dollar with 300 images online.  Also without seeing the photos its hard to tell.

If you have 300 isolations of a strawberry, you are doing well, if you have 300 conceptual photos you are doing bad.

thank you all for comments. I also thought it was no so good.
most of my photo in shutterstock are green/plant/food/building something which i can see on the road to office.I need spend more time how to catch creative thing for stock.

I know somebody should working both Alamy and other microstock agency at the same time.I just come back Alamy after almost 2 years discontinuity. My question are:

1)   How about the revenue per image between Alamy and SS/IS? Higher or lower
2)   Number of download per image per month (download number divided by total photo number)
3)   More sales from Alamy with RM or RF?
4)   Are you optimistic with your Alamy business?

 ;) :)

35
It's good if you're happy with it.

I am not happy with this result.I want more dollar coming..... ;) ;)

36
I have 300 photo in SS and can receive roughtly 45 USD per month.HOw about this performance? Good or not good? Really curious about this result.

37
Really confused what's the difference between Macro and Micro here? If I upload a photo to SS/DT/IS as micro, can I still upload this same photo to Alamy as Macro?

secondly, normally, when you upload the photo to Alamy, which license you choosed: RM,RF or RM-E?

All images that you sell as RF can only be sold on Alamy as RF. If you dont have releases for the people or ANY property, you need to set the licence as RM. But if you do that, the image cant be sold elsewhere as RF.

hI thanks for your reply.Does it mean if NO property release or Model release, the photo can be defined as RM,like editorial in SS/DT?

Alamy.com / MOre question about RM and RF.....
« on: October 24, 2012, 00:37 »
Sorry i have more questions about RM and RF,anybody give me a hand?

1) How to decide choose RM or RF?
2) If I have model release or property release ,which kind of license can get more download/ sales revenue?
3)Buyers in Alamy prefer RM or RF photo?
4)What's the purpose for Almy set RM and RF not like SS only RF and editorial? So confused about RM..

Thanks  a million for your explaination.

Adobe Stock / How to delete bunch of photo at one time?
« on: October 17, 2012, 03:20 »

Seems FT only can delete the photo one by one,so inconvenient to manager my uploaded files if not satisfied with them. How do you do when encounter same situation?

41
Totally confused.  No downloads at all for several days, but my total creeps up, so some sales are occurring.  I'm not really interested in learning 'greasemonkey' and in fact don't even care about IS anymore, but I can't help being curious - where is that trickle of money coming from?
See above: sales from credit cards, not credit bundles.

Good question, that's really what i thinking about! thought IS has a poor IT infrastructurer and support team.
But is there no way I can see these sales, except for the 'greasemonkey' route?
Nope, it's a bug, right since cc sales were introduced.

Yikes.

How can we possibly have confidence that there aren't sales for which we're never being paid or...  never mind.

42
i think i have similar issue, but i realise it is from the stockxpert..since it is listed as istock payment too.. did u request payment from stockxpert?

who is stockexpert?

43
Maybe referrals ?

It is huge ( 8)) for referral,i think

SS always like that. Just tell you guys a secreat:  :P all the photo uploaded in the weekend could be accepted with high ratio.---i am guessing the guy or lady could be happy duiring the weeked.

bad experience for me is once time they rejected 19 out of 20 photo! It really made me frustrated for a long time.

Shutterstock.com / so slow review process?
« on: October 08, 2012, 23:02 »
