Disappearing images is a glitch that's been going on awhile.  Right now I've got 14 images that were approved this past Monday then disappeared all together today so you're not the only one having that problem.  The $0 you see is because it's already October.  You would have to go into your stats page and select September from the drop down menu.

Anything else you need just ask :)

Anita, you really so kind and helpful! Merci!

« on: January 31, 2011, 00:10 »
My sales figure not changed in the recent 3 weeks. It is a bear market now?

I admit  only 40+ foto online in IS for me but looks still strange .Foto download in DT happened sometimes even if not too often.

iStockPhoto.com / IS very strict with the keyword
« on: November 23, 2010, 00:31 »
80% of my rejection due to keyword issue!

All the keyword shold reflect in the photo and no association like background,clean,green....

I have to be used to this big change.

one more intesting in IS the approval ration is higher than DT for my photo. In DT the approval ration always about 30-40% ( >:(very low right?) and in IS my photo approval is about 60% ( :-[80% of them can be resubbmited)  since I upload photo from last month.

I dun want confused anybody else.It just my first impression with IS. I am pretty newbie for microstock here..

iStockPhoto.com / Lost in IS
« on: November 08, 2010, 04:30 »
Uploading some photo to IS just several weeks ago.The acceptable ratio is about 60% and views are about 8-9 per photo but no download.  :(

At the same time,I found the sales/view in other agency is about 5.It means every 5 customers view on my photo will generate one download. Is my photo not suitable for IS style?

Alamy.com / question about Alamy
« on: October 25, 2010, 20:10 »
I am a newbie for Alamy and l lot of questions about it.....

1) Do  Alamy using the ftp tool for contributor to upload photo? Seems they only using their tool to let us to upload photo right?

2) Any problem about Alamy server? I upload form Asia but 5 photo submmiting spend  me more than 3 hours! I can not stand for it.

3) Which one mostly choosed for licence type? Royalty free/ Licenced or Licenced protected?

If I choose Licenced ,does it mean I can NOT upload this photo to somewhere?

4) last question maybe not a question: what;s the price about licened photo selling?

Thanks a lot for reply...

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Upload to IS a time consuming job!
« on: October 20, 2010, 20:16 »
Even though I use Deep Meta to upload to IS (because their site upload has been so broken so often I got fed up) I always put all the keywords into the IPTC data in the file. I did that as an independent because it really streamlined multi-site uploading, but I still do it as an IS exclusive.

You need to keep your investment of time in keywording where it belongs logically - with the image being keyworded. You can use those keywords in Lightroom, with any other tool that reads keywords, new stock sites you later choose to upload to...

Deep Meta does help with being able to do the disambiguation for IS offline which is nice.

IPTC keywording is means giving the keywords in lightroom or Adobe Bridge? Sorry I am newbie here and even newbie for microstock. As you said,if I input keywords into the IPTC data, then the upload tool such as Deepmata or other ftp tool   can read it automotically? If yes,it will be very nice .Thanks for you all patience and reply. So kind you are!

iStockPhoto.com / Upload to IS a time consuming job!
« on: October 20, 2010, 09:33 »
It is my first time to upload photo to IS using deepmeta. The process is total different with DT uploading which is very easy and quick.Using Deepmata,I have to key in t he keyword for each photo even same topic (any copy and paste function available in deepmeta? ) and I can not copy the category time by time as well.Frustrated!

When do the same job in DT,i just drag the photo to ftp tool and upload it in the night and add keyword in the next day.Regarding same topic,I can use input the Photo ID and the website copy paste automaticlly....it is done and very freindly especially for me (my mother language is no english)

Any tips to make it more quicker or suggestions? thanks

Dreamstime.com / how to terminate the exclusivity with DT?
« on: October 17, 2010, 22:36 »
I am working exclusivity with DT now but if I want to independent in the future. Then the question coming:
1) According to the contract,I have to wait 6 months (from my last uploaded photo) to quick exclusivity? It is a so long time!!!
2) DT will take back  all the bonus (not too much for me actually) which for exclusivie photographer? How do they?
3) I can upload my photo to any agency duiring the 6 month? i am wondering

Thanks for reply.
