1 image left in portfolio. 1 ticket open to check/ensure that all images are removed from PP as well. Sad, messy weekend. My wife decided for me ;-)

Thanks God! Lobo can't moderate here!!!

What a sad story... I can't stop crying. Account closed, the portfolio based on someone's concepts - vanished. But all your portfolios (if you have them) in other agencies are still alive!

PS. Great 'Thank You' to admins in SS.

I think that's not about gear... People sell images taken with iSomethings, soap trays ;-), etc.

Shorter version of RR's speech:

OK, after a year of watching - I, The Boss decided to say something*
1. ...just because people from Getty also read this forum.
2. 'My' message is: to draw a thick red line and listen to people.
3. 'You' are mad (can be) and 'we' are not greedy (hmmm, 'we' have been soooo busy, you know).
4. 'Sustainability' is not the current headline. Now: 'global website scalability + collective reset'
5. People are rude from behind, again, you need collective reset!
6. 'You' always complain, 'we' need constructive conversations.
7. 'We' are not going to talk about 'our' money. This is not 'your' business.
8. When iStock is successful 'we're all' successful - I had to say it just because people from Getty also read this forum.
P.S. I'll take part of the blame. Your Rebecca.

*rather bad example of PR

I used to work with backup 1Ds II and I switched to 5D II last year. First of all - the AF is not that bad, the image quality is acceptable and - is cheap, if you have Canon's lenses - that's even better. I still use my D2D 22MP as a main camera in the studio.
I guess - unspoken question is 'should I go for more MPx?' - I would say 'no'.

Unicorn, please don't spam. You have your post done, you have received comments. So, don't steal attention, please.

Yep. CS. CS5 - to be honest ;-)

5600K with Elinchrom RX. Auto with Canon Speedlite 580EX II. 5300 with Bowens continuous set. 5300 with Prophoto table (continuous). Gray card (black/grey/white Gretag-Macbeth) very rarely - only outdoors. No exceptions.

I use the older 100mm non-USM non-L version almost every day - and the quality is excellent (35mm, digital). As far as I know this the sharpest lens in Canon's EF line. In $ that was about $380 (or 250) 3 months ago.

Very worrying indeed!  they will throw you out, flat on your asss,  file a law-suit, inform the FBI and the CIA, even CTU,  about your crime. You might even get Jack Bauer come looking for you. ;D

Dont listen to him ;-)
Please take this advice: download a software called Jack Daniels from the closest shop, use it and enjoy. SS will warn you if the 'percentage' is too high ;-)

37
And what about Sigma 50-500? A bit cheaper than 100-400 and slightly longer. There was a good review in photo.com 2-3 years ago.

Is there a difference between revenue and turnover? How is the revenue measured? Is is pre/after tax value? Does this calculation include offers, promotions and refferals? As an economist and statistician I would say: +/- 70% error in the calculations. Good job :-)

I'm sorry. How do you interpret APRIL? 11 APRIL?
'Our rules' is more important than common sense? C'mon.

Wow. Shutterstock guys had really good day.
Editorial image rejected just because the date was not in US standards (month first).

Could you be more specific, please? Just uploaded 17 images. Everything looks ok. Maybe you should update flash player (the manager is Adobe Flex app), clean history or switch to PC ;-)
I have never had issues with that app.

What are you talking about? This - Alamy Picture Manager Lightroom PlugIn? Or 'Alamy Picture Manager' in the management section?
What exactly doesn't work for you?

Video Equipment / Sofware / Technique / Re: BorrowLenses.com
« on: April 10, 2012, 04:45 »
Don't agree, it is sharp. Maybe CA in corners is visible when wide open (1-click Lens Correction in my Lightroom makes the job).
But don't believe in opinions from the internet, test one, check if it suits you (the pull-push zoom is, err, different). e-People used to judge lenses without even touching them (dpreview, especially), and the more expensive lens - the more different stories you can find about ;-). For me 100-400 works.

$139 - it is 556 subscription sales on SS or (from my history) 125 sales on iS or ... even more on FT. I hope this could help you.

45
Ups... Not big jump. From 50 to 30% :(
Thank you very much.

iStockPhoto.com / The NEW list of bugs
« on: January 05, 2012, 14:38 »
http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=338991&page=1

It looks impressive. Some of them are older than 12 months (pre F5 era?), some of them - caused by recent fixes - in very long 'recent bugs' list. The 'big db' supposed to be fixed yesterday but all stats seem to be broken again. How can we trust ANY of the numbers from IS (especially the RCs, downloads and balance)?
It upsets me a bit.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Missing payment and stats areas
« on: December 27, 2011, 06:31 »
That's interesting. During last night about $11 (I guess...) disappeared from my stats. 'My uploads'  don't show any refund made, no mail from the customer center. Strange. In fact I have no proof of this 'miracle', my wife noticed it checking all portfolios with her notes and I'm sure she's right.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: What is really, going on?
« on: November 25, 2011, 17:28 »
November is my best month this year on IS :-). The most popular P+ files do the job, the volume is also higher than any other month this year (and still 5 days to go). I'm not happy with 15%, wouldn't recommend IS to friends, wouldn't even mention this site (I try to advertise the smallest ;-) But this month IS rocks in my stats...
