77

78

Salah=ignored
Thats it.
Simple, agree?

My dear friend,
my decision is that You must be on 5% witholding tax.
OK ? Will this help to solve Your problem?
I do not think so!

So, the question:
What will You do now?

Answer: maybe should You explain this situation to SS support...
             Agree?

On some days I'm already selling more on FT than SS.

And on 123 as well.

« on: September 27, 2015, 07:44 »
Yesterday was my personal record.
Under 6 hours since was photo online and already sold.
And yesterday was SATURDAY!
Oh, very important: SS "nazi" is on vacation!
Yesterday I have had good, old 90% + acc.  ratio.

General Stock Discussion / Re: My First Six Months Top Performers

Ha, ha, ha, Canstock !??
This must be Duncans last breath advertising, ha, ha.

Interesting this SS rejection problem, isn't it?
I have almost the same acceptance ratio as few month ago.
My sells are excellent, almost  every day  some SOD's...
AND YES, TODAY IS APRIL THE FIRST !
;)
Ok, no more sarcasm.
If you are not an agency with signed contract with SS , you can slowly forget on SS.
Bye bye, good old times for us indies.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Some optimism would be nice
« on: June 17, 2015, 23:25 »
Back in the old days of 2007 I was an optimistic newcomer too. I'm still optimistic about photography but not microstock. Give it a year or so and we may see you here crying on avatar shoulders. Or like many maybe you'll give up and won't be back. Best of fortune to you.

Thanks Paul. I'll be here and if I'm not, it'll be for other reasons. I'm one of the resilient ones and I have more experience than most think I do.

It took me about 3 months to break the $500 threshold on SS and I think that's better than average. Things can only get better from there.

I got rejected over 10 times before I got into SS. I doubt I'll be giving up now that I'm in.

Do we have a small nonsense here?
Rejected 10 times before You got into SS and then with this same files you needed only 3 months to break the $500 threshold on SS ?
Did you uploaded 10.000 files or what?
Anyway, congratulations for your optimism.

Nice try but, you know, people here are not fallen from the tree.

ALL gone.
Nice.
But I still did not find OPT OUT option.
Anybody?

Go to 'Contributor Area', click on 'My Preferences' on the left hand side.  You will see "Sell your files on DPC?" on the right.  Change the 'switch' to OFF.

 ;D

TNX.
OFF is already long time.

As I already said: This lens discussions are neverending story.

Thousands happy users with sharp piece and always are some unhappy users with "too soft in corners" lens.
If so, go back in store, change your "too soft in corners" lens and thats it.
Or buy prime one.
24 -105 is one of the best Canon zoom lens for a reasonable price.
And yes, for stock I do not use it on 24 or 105, 26 - 100 is just fine with superb results !
But for travel lens, is also from 24 to 105 excellent piece!

And about mentioned Pancake:
Pancake 40/2.8 RULZ !
Buy it, put it in your pocket and when you need tack sharp photo- use it!
Satisfaction guaranteed

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy - What do you choose in this?
« on: May 19, 2015, 11:56 »
As much as it pains me

Distribution: yes (30% is aligned with micro stock and when I get a 100 sale on an MS image, $30 isn't bad compared to $2.85 at SS)
Novel use:  No (I don't trust what this is)
UK Newspaper scheme: Yes

Archival / Reportage: never applied
Video upload: never applied but hear that they say no to just about everyone and require a minimum number of clips. I think 300 or 500.

Just to clarify - video acceptance rate is currently about 50% and minimum number of clips needed is 250.

Cheers

Alamy

Just for info:

Applied almost two month ago,
my accept. ratio 95%)
Files more than 250

Never heard from Alamy.
So what ...

Surprised to hear you didn't hear back from us - did you fill out an official application or was it via email? Either way you should've got a reply.

Without knowing your name we can't investigate but if you want to PM us the details we'd be happy to look into it for you.

Cheers

Thank You for fast and kind reply.

Cesar, if your numbers are not just provocation or simply lye, then respect.
But, do you want to hear my modest opinion?

No chance to make 140 sales/day with so small portfolio and whatever your nitche is.

97
NOT only a big drop!
TOTAL drop.

123RF / Re: Completely Broken
« on: May 07, 2015, 11:40 »
I have uploaded few photos, just to check if is really so messy.
System works slower as before.
Before were required 3 clicks for one upload, now 6 at least.

Conclusion:
123 has no more the fastest and the simplest upload system
