Looks like their back, but I don't detect any changes or fixed - unless you want to include that I didn't need to log in again after the maintainence run was finished...

Well, if you keep refreshing, say 20 times or so, it will eventually show up. But if you do it too quickly, you pass the correct update and have to start over.
Seriously, is this any way to run a business?
They're going to do some site maintenance this Saturday and I'm almost certain that: A. none of the current site bugs will be addressed B. the execution of site maintenance will promote even more problems with the site
I cannot understand why they refuse to fix the site properly.

JoAnn, I remember your vectors on iStock - lovely, detailed work!

LOL! It does seem that the only news that actually arrives in a timely fashion at iStock, is bad news! When I started my port on a whim, something to do while waiting for edits and approvals on my day job. It's been a pretty decent year for me at iStock. It might have been a great year if they hadn't tried so hard to screw me. I'm hesitant to submit elsewhere, I don't want to sell JPEGs of my vectors. I need to research the micros and figure out what's good for me. I keep hoping things will get better at iStock, but they seem bound and determined to self destruct!

There was some serious 'lag time' in the update of the RCs starting last weekend, atleast for me. Then there was an RC update Wednesday, I think. Then for me, my RCs were frozen again until yesterday when they disappeared. Coincidentally, I just recovered the percentage that was taken from me in the changes late last year. I'm thinking there is some intentional fiddling with the site and the RC disappearance is a by product of that. While I'm certainly no expert or conspiracy theorist, I had a nagging thought that when they were ingesting massive quantities of Edstock, this kind of coincided with the vector illustrations being "turned down", if not off during the bulk of the process. Okay, maybe it's just my paranoia talking...

I think all the "good news" announcements stopped for a couple of years ago. Anything that is "said, announced or rolled out" by IS now is just a cue for us to grab our ankles. I have no doubt that it's just another big steamy pile of sh_t served on a pretty platter. It's just a matter of time before the true meaning of the announcement becomes apparent.

Good grief, I hope they change the best match up again. Either that or turn on the 'ON' switch to my port again. This week is dead...

I submitted one, I wanted the icon bling. Lol! I feel sad for those who work so hard and submitted logo designs regularly. Take about your wasted effort.
This is what will probably happen: iStock will announce that the logos will be made available in the regular library starting in November, for X credits, depending on complexity. If you don't want your work included, please deactivate those files...

The induction of Edstock files has been going on since April. That's at a rate of about 400 files a day. It sickens me.

I think it's the conspiracy theorist coming out in me, but when I was filling out the survey, I had this thought. IS has shown good faith in offering a survey to hear our opinions. But, all the survey information is private. IS can say the results were WHATEVER they wanted them to be. Therefore make any changes they desire claim that "Your survey results suggest you wanted us to raise RC targets 300%."

I thought we were informed that the best match is always changing. Perhaps the best match continually changing is indeed the best match not changing because the best match changing is the status quo for the best match?... LOL! I made a much sense as Lobo!

LOVE Downy Wrinkle Releaser! It's hard to find around here so if I get the chance, I'll buy it out! = mild hoarding tendencies...
tip for you.. I dilute mine up to 50/50 (water/downy) and it still works great!
Thanks so much, I will try this!

I know IStock categorizes 3D renders as Photos presently. I think because they are pixel based. I think it's a bad sytem cause confusing for buyers.

I have a question for all of you who think the new system is bad: Lets say all of the RC targets where now slashed in half. so for example to hit the 40% mark you would need 60K credits instead of 120K, 5.25K for 30% etc' etc' and for the sake of the arguement all non-exclusives had a fixed 20% income, or a ladder of 20%-25% instead of 15%-20%. Would you STILL think the new system is not fair and/or bad ?
Well, it appears we are both "Silver" contributors but I'm an illustrator. Your RC target for 2010 was 12,500. Mine was 20,000. Illustrations have a set prices, mine are mostly 15 credits. Typically, I'm asking for a bigger sale and by doing this, I earn more for IStock. I guess you should be happy with the system, you're already living the dream.

This is BIG! This is HUGE! Good Luck JoAnn! - Rob's right, you won't need it! I've looked to your and Sean's comments together to help me access what was transpiring at IS and whether to be concerned or not. I'll bet many others do the same. Now we have a divide. Sean is exclusive and one of the very top contributors, so without you representing the control group, brilliant, exclusive and with a slightly more attainable level, on the same team, it changes the whole game. WOW!
