Well, now I actually have something good I can say about them.  I got my refund just 1 hour after emailing support.

Now if only the support ticket I sent last week about pictures dating as far back as August not being reviewed would be answered.

Btw I feel really stupid now that I have paid for awesome...

I have a Plus account and just yesterday I was thinking of upgrading to Awesome.  In fact, I wrote a list of things to do this week before I went to bed last night and on that list was 'upgrade to Awesome'.

Imagine my surprise when I got up this morning and had an email in my inbox basically giving me no choice but to cancel my Plus account.

For anyone else in a similar situation you can cancel your Plus/Awesome account.  According their website if it is within 30 days you get a full discount otherwise it can be cancelled at any time and they will pay you back a prorated amount.

I must admit to being shocked by this.  I'm not surprised by lowering our percentage, but I'm surprised they decided to burn it to the ground so fast and with just one decision.

I've been waiting for over a month for them to approve my ID. They won't sell anything of mine until then. Very frustrating.

Try opening a support ticket.  I waited over a month as well and when I contacted support they replied and approved my id on the same day.

This thread just ruined my day.

Pond5 / Re: New ID requirement - no sales unless you upload ID
« on: January 07, 2016, 18:11 »
I haven't uploaded mine yet but I'm still having a good start to the month.

Having said that, I should probably do it soon to ensure that I can keep selling.

I'm surprised there isn't already a thread about this.

I noticed a couple of SODs for 30 cents each today.  Never had a sale for less than what I would earn from a sub before.

There is a thread on the SS forum about it but no response from SS so far.

Anyone else getting these?  I guess some people are getting less than 30 cents.

« on: September 29, 2015, 21:54 »
When I started a couple years ago I had a similar acceptance rating and my sales were bad.

Now my overall acceptance rating is in the high 80s and my sales are still bad.

I've read several times that you get favored if your rating is above 80% but I sure haven't noticed a difference.

Actually, I just noticed I can get in if I go up to Insights and click on Forum.  If I click the links under Announcements then those just time out unless I'm logged out.

The search still doesn't work though.  I always get this message:

One or all of your search keywords were below 4 characters or you searched for words which are not allowed, such as 'html', 'img', etc, please increase the length of these search keywords or choose different keywords.

Are they even working right?

I can only access them if I am logged out of SS.  If I am logged in they just time out.

And when I am able to see them no matter what term I search for I get an error.

I just checked my stats after reading this and had to adjust going all the way back to December 2013.

Only 2 or 3 months matched what I had in my statistics.  On the bright side my income went up but I don't understand how they could possibly take that long to report sales.

I always add the country in the GeoRank for the last step of uploading and in the past you could save changes to all the files with one click but now you need to save each file individually.  This new system is much slower and therefore a step backward in my opinion.

I include the country in my metadata so ideally the site could just read it from that like Fotolia does.

Nevermind, I figured out the problem.  I'm just dumb.

I somehow ended up in March 2014.

I have about $50 in PP so far but my balance has only gone up about $6.

I've never seen that before.  Anyone else seeing it?

Hopefully they will match up better by morning.

Sounds like you should find a different CPA.

It has actually been off and on.  If was down a couple of days but it worked for me last night.  Not sure about now though since I don't have anything to upload now.

This Thursday(yesterday) was really down. Is it the beginning of so called Easter holiday? :-\

Easter is a 4 day weekend in many countries.

My sales were fine yesterday but today is looking pretty much like a weekend.

SS I still don't know if we are seeing things on the map and in our Earnings as reported or date sold. I'm assuming it's just reported, as processed. And here's why.

To date, I've never seen a sale posted two days later, where the numbers are $x and jump up for a couple days past.

Which means, if they just don't process on SS and the reporting can take up to 72 hours (according to  their information) I could have a sale on Friday and it shows u on Monday and I don't have any way of knowing that.

I've always thought that SS reports more or less in real time and I've never seen any reason to doubt that.  Them not reporting sales 2 days later probably just means they are much more efficient than iStock.  If it took 72 hours to process wouldn't that make Saturday and Sunday look much better because Wednesday and Thursday sales would be reported?

My map just fits the day almost exactly as you would expect.  I don't have many sales when I get up in the morning but most are always from Europe, which is already in business hours when I get up.  Sales from Asia and Australia usually come pretty late at night, which would also be business hours for them.

Most of my content appeals to Latin America and most of my sales are reported during business hours in Latin America.  It even seems to slow down around lunchtime.

Since most of my sales come from Latin America I'm not affected by US holidays and even if Shutterstock isn't in the office doing whatever it is that they do my sales still come in as they normally would.  I think most of it is automated except for the big SOD sales.

Works for me.

46
Fotolia doesn't actually choose a reason, they just send out an email listing pretty much every possible thing that could be wrong with an image.

The email starts with this:

"We are sorry to inform you that your photograph was not accepted because it contains one or more the following technical issues:"

Less than 4 MP is just one of the many reasons listed.  Their rejection emails aren't even worth reading.  You should just ignore them and keep shooting and uploading.

They are also more picky than DT in what they will accept.

This is what it says when I go to the poll:

This survey is for your earnings in March, you will be able to fill out the survey again next month.

I filled it out with my Feb earnings the first couples days of this month.

48
When will the results be posted?  It's almost April.  Seems like it was a lot faster in previous years.

They seem to be having some trouble with reporting sales so far this month.

I had 5 or 6 like that the other day but they eventually showed the correct value.
