DT is by far the worst for me, rejecting almost everything now whereas in the past they accepted . It is very disheartening and confusing.

I do not offer my exclusive images anywhere else but use different ones, Is that all right?

I am very puzzled as to why DT  states that my abstract designs are rejected for poor lens quality, etc, when they are NOT photographs.I have pointed this out to them. FUnny though SS can't get enough of them!!

Newbie Discussion / Very happy with SS
« on: February 14, 2013, 02:15 »
Since being accepted on 10th January this year I have had 277 pics accepted on SS -a 5 week period. It took me nearly 12 months to reach that number on DT!  I am over the moon as SS likes my designs which DT hates.   Working very hard to reach 1000.

The last three weeks or so I have had nearly all my submissions refused at DT yet strange to say  SS accepted many of them . DT must be losing money ? The reasons are spurious - focus, composition, etc etc whem in past the same type of pics were accepted. I am glad I got on to SS as I am thinking of foregoing my exclusivity on DT. What does everyone think as I am a newbie.Thanks.

My last two batches were all poor lighting/composition. The whole lot regardless!! Even the abstract designs.

Well I thought I was so silly to wonder why- now I know I will send my pics to SS instead where the rejections are much less even though I started with DT  and feel  quite upset that they are like this.

I have submitted twice a pic of a shrub flowering and both times was refused on grounds that other images online were far superior -I checked and saw only 2  other ones and  definitely not superior to mine! Pics rejected by DT I have had accepted at SS .What is going on here? Are they even checking the pics ? Surely if SS accepts them and DT doesn't what is wrong here???  They are losing money here for sure. Also after many emails to them I have never had one reply yet. I am getting very  fed up .Any one else had these problems?

I sold 2 pics in a week -not too bad as I have only been uploading for about that time. And there is no limit like DT, so all is fine at the moment. Bit disappointed with DT as rejected about 90 odd designs when 2 weeks accepted many .What is going on there ???

My last  10 pics uploaded to SS resulted in- 1 being rejected due to out of focus? Then the other 9 being clumped together saying that they would be usable had I been accepted. I understood 7 out of 10 were to be accepted. I have none of the 9 refused yet am still unable to be accepted. Have contacted SS. Are they always so difficult?

I have found it almost impossible to get anything accepted on Fotofolia  and of the 5 pics I have there only 2 views in a long time. Compared to DT this is a no site for me.Though 123RF accept all my pics except a handful the sales are very slow there. Is it just me or is this a trend? Yet on DT I have sold 4 in the last week.  The ups and downs of  this hobby are a little strange   to say the least.

Thanks for that exhaustive list Sadstock -much appreciated by us newbies.

I have just joined, the first 4 were accepted then everything since has been rejected  lock stock and barrel all because does not meet level of aesthetic quality! I feel like they do not want any more to submit to their site perhaps.

Newbie Discussion / Finding the best sites
« on: November 21, 2012, 04:10 »
Does one find the best sites for them by trial and error or follow the poll results and concentrate on BIG 4  as some are very hard to get onto in top 4 for a newbie like me. I have found some of lower earner sites accept just about anything  but hardly any sales at all.

General Stock Discussion / Review times by 123RF
« on: October 27, 2012, 19:30 »
Having just joined 123RF I am interested in their review times as I have had pics on line there since Tues last week and still not reviewed. I am a newbie and wonder if the site shows  viewing numbers  on each pic as well as I can't seem to find any. After being on Canstock  for a while  I was used to this feature.
