General Stock Discussion / Re: New Stock Photo Site
« on: January 07, 2015, 06:48 »
Got reply today, artarena is yaymicro api.

From my experience I got it rejected first time on SS, because of copyright. Even though it was my calligraphic writing. After just resubmitted it as editorial, but sales close to zero. Some other sites accepted it, as editorial or normal. It was just a few shots, but you can try with few and see how it is going.

I had found my images there also. I think they might really be from yay, except editorial ones and vectors are not there.

Also preview images have the same number in name and urls have the same "system".
They still list pixmac (and pond5) as their api partner although they merged with pond5 more than a year ago.

Sent email to yay, but no reply yet.

General - Top Sites / Re: Is DT still one of the Big 4?

DT has never been in top 4 for me. 90% of sales there are just $0.35 subscriptions for me.

Please hire a designer and front-end developer. And a group of developers also.

Lack of any information for contributors. Site is not fully translated to arabic neither. Wrong design layout for arabic (aren't you focusing or arabic market??)

Poor contributor credits, just few images have them, although most of them are from 123rf.

Look like you are 123rf partner?

I will just stop here.

Pond5 / Re: Do you think Pond5 is going to be a leader?
« on: August 15, 2014, 03:49 »
Their interface to submit photos is just terrible.
Seem its selling video much better than photos (I have only photos) and this year they are not even in my top10.
But I still like the ability to set my own prices and 50% commission.

For Photographers -> Sell images ->Downloads.
Than choose the month you want to check.

Envato / Re: How's your acceptance rate in Envato?

For the last batch or two pretty random for me. But I also get report for all batch so is difficult to know what the "real" reason was.

I just press the button to exclude my portfolio. Although the link in newsletter is broken. :) I don't want to have zero compensation.

My sales are slow there, usually just few per month. I keep uploading because there is no so much work to do it.
Just got the $32 sale over the weekend :) definitely made my day!
