Shutterstock.com / Re: Working together to lead the way with AI
« on: October 25, 2022, 07:49 »
Well, this ought to drive away the rest of their contributors.

Wordplanets point is well taken. At first glance, the image would be fairly easy to make in Photoshop today, but in 1981, I dont have the faintest idea how it could have been done. What may have been transformative then I dont think should be looked at the same way now.
All that said, Im very skeptical of a court case decades after the work was made and nearly as long since Warhol himself died.

Some people can draw.

Is that a problem?

What trouble are you having?

Since it's a vector, all you need is the basic design with a space to add the name of the country.

Adobe Stock / Re: Ai creates Artwork - how to upload?

If the images are created by referencing other images, you may have a copyright issue.  Be sure to do a reverse image search to check for visible similarities.

Well, I'm dropping Pond5.

Since Monster_Design seems pretty professional, maybe the other sites stole from them.

This thread is like seeing an ex dealing drugs in a parking lot.

Makes me glad I left, but also ticks me off that they're still getting away with stuff.

General - Top Sites / Re: copy keywords from other people ?
« on: February 09, 2022, 09:39 »
Unamas, you're not just copying. You're sorting.

I have found people who really just copy and paste.  I use my name as a keyword when I am allowed, and it gets copied along with everything else.  When I Google myself, there they are.

I send a take down notice because my name is not to used to sell someone else's stuff.

It's rude.  Also, you could be copying their errors.

Looking at keywords others have used can help you decide what keywords to use, yourself, but you need to make your own sets.

Amazing variety!  Had to scroll down to get it all...

Could have been a glitch showing them accepted.

What were the illustrations?

Wax the glass first.  There will be very little condensation.

It does feel kind of funny making out a release to yourself to prove that you didn't steal something from yourself and use it without your permission.

Just remember that it's part of how Adobe makes sure somebody else doesn't do that.

Depends on what they are, and what format you upload.

I sell lots of vector graphics as stock.

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy Demographic Survey
« on: November 26, 2021, 09:08 »
Since there is no information about the contributors' gender, religion, ethnicity, etc taken when the photos are submitted, it's about as fair as it can get.

You can't be unfair to particular groups if you don't know they are there.

It looks like mostly the same old clip art everyone has.

I see a couple of silhouettes that *might* have been traced from one of my photos, I'll have to look closer.

Which ones are yours?

45
Typical corporate behavior.  They don't see any profit in the forum.

I seriously doubt that "representative" works for Depositphotos.  Tell Depositphotos about the exchange, so they can deal with the criminal.

Alamy's opaque bookkeeping drives me nuts.

Let's put it this way.

If I catch you doing this with any of my work, I will sue you.

I see a photo of Neuschwanstein, not editorial.  I think I'll drop a line to the Verwaltung about that.

Thanks Motionjunky
Ideally, there would be something to do maybe with Stock Coalition, making a deal with dedicated attorneys that could sue and make a permanent work of watching thieves around platforms/world, but would be lots of energy, time and mostly $$

Does the Stock Coalition even exist any more?  There's no activity on the website.  The last news update is over a year old.
