With a tight budget you might also look at Nikon D5100. The 18-55mm VR Lens that comes with the camera is OK. There are some good 50mm lens very cheap. If you are into macro you should also look at Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro Lens.

I'm trapped in a downward spiral all the way down to the urine extracting depths of 16% and I don't like it.

I use a lot of different web sites and alamy has been very good for me. They are often in my top 3 earners. I would upload vectors there.

The security of payment details is just one aspect of the hack. Lots of people use the same login details on multiple sites and this information has been compromised. They have had access to the source code which could mean hidden software in product updates.

I found lots of my pictures there as well. Some have my name by them but others show an AGE copyright. This may be from YAY but GreatAmericanArt isn't on their distribution list?

I was a Graphic Designer and Art Director for years I gave it up because I was not being challenged by the work and I didn't like modern business attitudes. I now make a small fraction of what I used to earn but I have freedom to do what I like. If I get bored I do something arty or using a new technique. I turn down design work all the time because I am happy doing pretty pictures for microstock.

I was talking about how much I have spent an all software not just adobe although I have over the years had to buy 11 versions of adobe software for PC and 5 for Mac. 3ds max and Maya are the most expensive at 3200 each for current versions.( they used to be a lot lot more). and plug-in's are often over a K.

I have been using Photoshop since version 3 I started using it in the first place because My clients wanted a standard file that they could edit. I only work for myself now so that's not an issue. I will not pay a subscription for software. CS6 works fine for me and I will stick with it until something better comes along with no subscription. ( I don't want to work out how much money I have spent on software but it is somewhere between a new car and a new House).

I have a D5100 because I wanted a light camera. I shoot mainly textures for 3d modelling and have married the camera up with an AFS NIKKOR 50mm 1.4G lens and a light weight carbon tripod. I get very sharp textures and the lens is also good for portraits. I think the lens makes the most difference when choosing a camera.

I think it should be illegal to take Photos of anything except ducks on a pond in flat gray light. Everything else should be left to illustrators. ( having said this I Soooo want one of them Cinestar Octocopter things I would of course only take pictures of ducks with it.)

I Like the site. I have less than 1000 pictures there and have made $90 so far. Its easy to upload to and I'm hopeful sales will rise and Stockfresh will blossom into a good earner.

Both Nvidea and ATI do professional cards (Quadro or FirePro) worth it if its in your budget. they don't do gaming so well but make a big differece to performance of software like photoshop and 3ds max. The drivers are optimized for professional software and the cards are more stable.

I do a lot of 3d art. and to suggest that a good texture is easy to make is very wrong. small textures that tile need to be very well produced or the just look like tiles. large textures need to be very large and pin sharp. the best textures are made up of lots of pictures for things like bump, opacity, secular level ,gloss level etc. These textures can take days to produce. If you only sell textures you will need the good stuff as well. A lot of people will be ok with you selling their photos where all they did was point a camera at a brick wall. I do not think you will get the quality work you need to make your site a one stop for textures.

Flamingo's used to live in Australia, but now are extinct there." Phoeniconotius eyrensis, from the late Oligocene of South Australia, was one of the most massively built flamingos known. At the time Lake Eyre was a vast inland lake, home to many other water birds as well as crocodiles, lungfish and numerous marsupials. The youngest Australian fossil flamingo is Pleistocene in age. Flamingos most likely became extinct in Australia as increasing aridity caused permanent inland waterways to disappear." (Australian Museum). However there are flamingos in Zoos when they escape they gorge themselves at barbies eating prawns and drinking tinnys this turns them bright orange.
