I guess NO. DT has certainly a good image collection. But the interface for buyers is also old-fashioned and confusing, as for contributors. This is certainly one of the reasons why buyers prefer to buy elsewhere.

Obama is too much of a * to tighten sanctions, so Iran will keep freely doing what we know they are doing.
Some individuals here are Obama supporters who like his measured approach. Bush, Cheney, McCain, Graham, Cruz, et al, would have had us in half a dozen wars after Iraq and Afghanistan.
Sorry, Mantis, but this is not the proper forum for making disrespectful comments about the President of the United States.
Obama is a president, on which each american citizen can be proud of. That's my 2 cent from Germany.

In my case around 400 pictures on Shutterstock give me ca. 100 $ per month. But I don't have many people shots, there will be more sales with good people pictures, I believe.

I know some photographers here in Germany, who add a special word (mostly a very strange word that makes actually no sense) to the keywods for more easily find their pictures on the net. Maybe this is such a case?

You'll probably earn enough for a ticket to a Caribbean island. It might be enough for a couple of Pina Coladas too. But the return flight could be a problem

By the way: How long will it take until buyers are tired of this special Stocksy style?

Thank you both

So it sounds like you're not really wanting to compete with Stocksy. You just want to emulate it without a USP.
Mercy with non native speakers: What means USP?

I believe the Blackfoot are farther West, close to the Rockies maybe. Central Canada has a large native population - I believe this area is typically Salteaux & Assiniboine and a lot of Metis. Winnipeg is a fairly large city with a lot of native culture so I'm pretty sure the small town kids from afar come to big cities like here or Regina on the prairies.
Thank you for all these friendly informations! One day I will travel America - who knows, may be next year?

@Pixart & ShadySue: sounds good, and Central Canada would be a dream destination for me (and Scotland too). Are there still any native Blackfoot people around there? (in Canada of course!) @jrwassermann: Cool guy, this Chilean! It 's great if you have your dreams dreams preserved and eventually gets the opportunity to do what you have dreamed of. Usually it's the lack of time and money, which make it impossible.

As a child I had three dreams: I wanted to be an archaeologist, photographer and locomotive engineer on a steam locomotive. After I had learned in crafts, I studied and am now an archaeologist, work in a small company, which specializes in archaeological investigations in construction projects. I have photographed since my childhood, began with an East German EXA 1A. I'm doing stock now, it's fun for me and give a little money. But train driver on a steam locomotive I never became. There are no more steam engines but in the museums

Decreasing trend in june for me - but it's football world cup - may be that's the reason?
Do most creatives stop work during the World Cup? I've seen that suggested in another thread too - would be very surprising if so - as though clients would hang around for a month in limbo.
Sue, maybe there are not the most creative people who normally buy my images ?

Agree. Some contributors have already left after the ShotShop deal, some earlier because of the SMS-sales some years ago.

And the problem is...? Why not just upload the next image?

I have already left the ship because of the Shotshop deal. Sorry

What is the dollar Photo Club of Fotolia compared with the 3% of deposit? It's a shame and here we should set a clear sign! Deposit has in my eyes great chances to win the "Most Unethical Agency" award

I guess i will delete all my images from there. And to not have surprise, before this i will erase all keywords, description and title and replace them with a stupid one to no be searchable.
One more time. it's impossible to delete uploaded pictures on DP. They keep them for "statistical purposes"

I just can not understand why anyone still uploads images to DP

Can anyone tell me where exactly to find this opt out checkbox that has appeared on Deposit? I have logged in and looked on my profile page but I can't see it at the bottom - I just have three check boxes for email notifications there.
When I opted out some month ago, there was no checkbox at all. It was necessary to write an email to DP. I had to do this 3 times before I've got an answer.

I'm using Firefox all the time. Chrome is a good browser too, but Chrome belongs to Google, thats the point.

Good luck to those who apply and I look forward to seeing you in the forums over there. It's a very different place.
Sure a different place - but probably not independent and free as here
