Hi!
Thanks for your feedback and comments, they are important to us! We have unfortunately had a major bug in the system, which has resulted in that certain functions has not worked as it should. Our technology department is working on these issues. We are once again really sorry for all the trouble and hope that this will be resolved very soon.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation!

Sincerely/
Mostphotos admin

I think, the major bug was a long weekend 8)  ;D

Must be new. The option was not there, when we started the thread. I see this as a small success! But you can't  say precisely, this switch is an eyecatcher  8)

Success?!  ;D Lol, somehow this word doesn't fit in here for me, don't know why...  ;)  ;D
Sorry, couldn't help myself...

Tell me, what would you call it? Defeat? 8)

We are talking about this from very first day of this thread.
Check this thread.

I know this thread. I've been in there from page 1.
But I have never before seen the option to opt out from partner sales on their website. I sent them an e-mail to get out of those deals, I am sure at that time that check box in my profile did not exist yet - at least I can't remember ever seeing it. That's why I am asking.

Maybe we should get a ranking on fair and unfair agencies. Afraid the list of unfair agencies is much longer :(

In the German Stock Photography forum someone wrote that he had logged on to the DPC. After 15 minutes, his application was approved and he got 5 invitations for other interested parties. So much for "exclusivity" >:(

Benefits for Fotolia
[...]
Increase margins by effectively reducing commissions to contributors

That's not true compared the the subscription model of Fotolia. They would earn more with their subs programm or "mini subs" model than with the DPC if it comes to high volume buyers.

Why does this post get so many negative votes?

Robert is right, DPC is not about FT's margin, but about undercutting the on demand business of their competitors. Which is even worse.

But don't let the facts get in your way...

I would love to see the discussions about this staying factually correct, there is enough to complain about DPC, adding wrong statement to the rightful complaints makes the whole discussion look ill-informed and makes it an easy target for those who want to defend FT.
Totally agree to this! The situation is not better when it is reflected wrong. Thank you Robert for the correction!

Interesting news, Axel. Please keep us up to date!

In some ways an expropriation of our content takes place. It is important that the Fotolia D-day was not the final, but the beginning of a movement of the contributors worldwide.

MP shows no new uploads nor any changes for three days now. Does anyone have any information if there's something wrong?

Hello,
We are having a discussion on a Russian forum and I thought I'd come here and ask this question: was any of the contributors here actually notified by FT about the DPC project in January or around that time? I mean, before the petition?
Definitly no.

Why is SS so impolitic to deliver a fraudelent bait&switch-site wich spreads also malware with our images?
That crappy PD-site cant drive that much user to SS that its worth to risk such a reputation-damage, or am i wrong?
You're right, no doubt!

Who needs EL with such "Standard" license on DPC?!
Good question!

Lets collect money for a lawyer

Robert Kneschke had an idea.
He said:
If we find 300 contributors and everyone spends 100$ he would put 1.000 on top.

I am in too.
If we find 300 contributors and everyone spends 100$ i put 2.000 on top.

That should be enough for a competent american lawyer.

is someone able to manage that in a way that everyone is safe to get his / her money back if it does not come to a suit?

regards axel

I would give my 100 bucks, as I wrote already in the "stockfotografie-forum".

The only bad news about them making a change this time is it seems to signal they're not in a great position financially (if they thought they were strong they'd tell contributors to stuff it).

This could be true. Coud be a sign for a kind of financial maldevelopment.

A big thank you to the Russian colleagues who manage to organize resistance to Fotolia. Maybe it results in a permanent organization against the intolerable conditions in the microstock world

The deadline is too short.  Many contributors outside Russia know nothing yet from the D-day!

I found my images on Shotshop also. What is I just upload my work there also? In that case they should pay you from Shotshop directly  and you should get the normal commission? Has anyone tried that?
The upload to Shotshop is painful and Shotshop is very restrektiv in accepting pictures, especially since the deal with Deposit. Anyway, still I have a small portfolio there but sales are rare.

I wish they'd redesign their partner/API reseller program and stop screwing us. THEN I might care for their site design...
Exactly my thoughts!
