I'm not sure about Lightburner, but I've been using PicWorkFlow.com for over a year with all my vector uploads. It's been very easy to use, and I've had very few issues with it. If there is ever an issue, they are very quick and thorough about resolving it.

PicWorkFlow isn't free, but they aren't expensive by any means.

Hey everyone,

I am wondering if anyone is submitting their vectors to any new microstock sites? The poll results on the left are a good indication for photos, but I wish their was such a poll or list for vectors.

These are the VECTOR sites I submit to. Do you know of any other sites that accept vectors?

I checked out GraphicRiver, but it seemed like too much hassle to upload graphics. I also have thought about selling my vectors on Etsy, but that also seemed like too much work for too little of a reward.

Hmmm. That stinks. I wouldn't even know where to start to figure out why it is ranking my site poorly. My site is just a Wordpress blog. Do you have any suggestions as to why it is getting a poor rating?

I've been really busy with life, and have neglected my blog. My last rankings were way back in January, and finally got around to doing my power rankings for August.

My vector earnings have stayed pretty constant through 2011. One site goes down, another comes up. 123rf and Deposit Photos were the good surprises, and Dreamstime and iClipart were the ones that went down the most. I posted the site rankings here.

For me, vector microstock is part-time. Currently, I spend about a half-hour per day on it. I've been at it for awhile though, and it is now 60% of my total income. For the first couple years that I was building my portfolio. I would spend 2-3 hours per day creating vectors. Microstock has been a life-changer for me and my family, and I'm grateful every day.

From 9-5 each day, I'm a graphic designer. I think that helps me immensely to create good stock (stock that designers need and want).

I agree with Kona 110%. However, I think they are accepting some artists, it's just that they have some very specific criteria that not all artists meet.

About a month ago, I talked with Jamie, the owner of ClipartOf, about them accepting new artists. Jamie is very passionate about taking care of her artists and only works with serious artists with a proven track record. You can read more about ClipartOf�s philosophy here: http://www.clipartof.com/info/about.

Here are ClipartOf's requirements that Jaime gave me, for accepting new artists:
1. The artist must offer completely unique style and content from what we already have so we don�t dilute existing contributor sales. We do not frantically add contributors like other sites do because its unnecessary.
2. Must have at least 1,000 image available to us at time of signing. All files must be vector or high quality 3d renders.
3. Must be able to accept payments via paypal.

Jaime added, �The difference between us and other sites is that we have very limited spots and will not always continuously add.�

ClipartOf is not for all microstock and vector artists. I was lucky enough to get my portfolio accepted, and the results have been great. If you meet their requirements, I would recommend that you try and add your vector portfolio, just like Kona recommended. If not, or if they turn you down, don�t worry about it. I know that Jaime and her small staff are extremely busy, so they may not be able to answer each and every one one of your questions, or go into detail about why they turned you down. Don�t take that personally. Instead, work on improving your portfolio and finding ideas and concepts that designers need.

I have worked with Jamie and ClipartOf a lot, and I know one of her primary goals is to help her artists be profitable and successful. Her guidelines are put in place to make that possible.

Yes, its working 100% for me now, too. It took a little while for my "new" ftp login credentials to work on picWorkflow, but now it is back up and working fine there as well.

Had 4 sales there today. Woohoo!

I already have about half of my portfolio on BigStock, but not all of it. This is mainly due to their submission process taking too long. There are multiple steps, categories, etc, and it just wasn't convenient. Sales there used to be good, but have really slowed down over the past few months for some reason.

Has anyone experienced good sales with BigStock, and would you recommend joining or not joining this new "Bridge to Bigstock" program? I am leaning towards joining it.

Fotolia has been frustrating for me on their 1099's. Last year, they sent the 1099 late, then had to send a corrected one for some accounting error they'd made. This year, it was late, and hopefully there won't be any errors. A bit of a hassle. Most of the other ones have been OK for me though.

My sales were up slightly from January. Almost all my files are vectors, so my results are probably different than most photographers. I made a ranking of my top selling 20 vector sites on my blog, www.graphicgravy.com. Shutterstock was my best, followed by iStock, ClipartOf, Vectorstock, and Can Stock Photo.
