Thanks!
1. No, not really, if I select categories manually then I select all 3 and their subcategories too. If I start with keywords then the machine does the categories and I check them. So if I did them myself I thought that was it, but no, they do change after (during) the keywords are done.

That's really weird.
Could you provide an example of a file ID that you've specified categories for but they have changed?

77
Hi!  :) I love that M+ gives categories automatically when I fill the keywords. I don't like when it overrides the categories I put in manually before filling keywords. Just now resulted in 2 the same, had to change = unnecessary extra work, and it's the best case, possibly I haven't noticed it and some photos have carelessly filled metadata.

Also the pop message "Conformation All uploads have been completed. Do you want to......."  when uploading. I just want to keep doing what I was doing but this message always jumps forward and makes a mess with my work. It always appears exactly when I have a photo half way to "Drop the files here".

 :) Thanks

P.S. I also like that there is a place like this where I can moan and it is taken into account and site keeps improving!

Thank you for the feedback!

1. If you select BOTH categories manually they won't be overridden. Only the categories you didn't select get replaced by the automatically generated ones.
So the scenario you've described can happen if you select "A" as category 1 and then the system selects it as the category 2 automatically because you've left it blank.

2. I think we could add a "Don't show again" option to that message :) Will add it to the to-do list

Hi
Any chance that you can update the site so that it shows the correct earnings data for 123RF. Typically it always shows last month plus this current month. Even though its not a huge sum it its pretty annoying. The "earnings this month" data shown on the 123RF site always shows the correct amount for me but not in microstockplus.
Thank you.

We're reading the current value directly from 123rf, could you PM me a screenshot where you get the value that's always correct?

Could you also tell me what version is displayed in the title bar of the StockSubmitter window for you?

I do not have a limit on Videohive. The files that got rejected where in fact using the last version. I think you are using a non-standard h264 codec or something that apple and their quicktime do not like.
I have talked with somebody from the tech support of the app and I think they re-directed all the talk to you, so I am not gonna re-rewrite everething here.
Please just let as know when it will be fixed. Thank you!

Yes we've discussed that with them and resolved the issue already by replacing the PhotoJPEG codec with x264.
x264 is a modern codec and should work on any platform.
Probably it's a mistake on their end, I'll contact them directly to ask what is wrong.

StockSubmitter is encoding videos with H264 when downsizing to HD at the moment.
The version you're using is correct.

Please make sure those files that got rejected were actually uploaded with this new version and not earlier.
May be you had some files uploaded earlier that got submitted later due to the limit on VideoHive?

82
1. I'm afraid there's no manual at the moment, but we're planning to find time for it in the future.
2. M+ will automatically upload footages via FTP to any agencies that support that.
If you mean uploading footages to M+ itself then that's possible too, you can find the FTP credentials in the Upload Files section.
Uploading from M+ to custom FTPs is not yet supported unfortunately.
3. Yes, you can work with videos the same exact way as you would with videos - it'll work fine :)

IMPORTANT: Submitting FullHD versions of 4K videos to VideoHive

Latest versions of Mac OS X have stopped working correctly with videos encoded to PhotoJPEG with a non-Apple codec. Because of that, Envato has stopped accepting videos, downsized to FullHD in StockSubmitter.
We've replaced the downsizing codec with x264 in the new program update. So if you're submitted videos automatically downsized from 4K to FullHD to VideoHive - please update the program.

As Stocksubmitter now supports istock esp is it also possible to upload to Getty esp? It is general the same upload process and if possible how can I add a Getty esp account? I would like to upload to Getty as well to iStock depending on the foto series but I would love to use Stocksubmitter for that! thanks in advance!

It actually should work for Getty accounts as well.
thanks but where I do get the api? I couldn't find this information in my esp-accounts neither at iStock esp or Getty esp

Unfortunately, we cannot provide those keys any longer.
However, you could try asking in StockSubmitter telegram group: https://t.me/StockSubmitter - I heard someone has them there.
It's in Russian, but you can ask in English, it's fine.

I didn't use Stocksubmitter for a very long time now it is asking me endlessly to update it which I do over and over again but the version remains on 1.4.7341.28569 even after updating and it asking me again to update, really feels like Groundhog day!
I think I solved it there is a new version which I need to download manually right?
I do keep my license with the new version right?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, old version is not supported any longer so you need a new one downloaded from the official website.

You keep your account and any account balance or subscription you had :)

It's not easy if you would like to do it manually.
You can do it in the SS interface.

The option in the interface can only be applied to ALL agencies, not to specific ones.  It would be awesome of you added to option to adjust the status of each individual image to each agency.

You can do it by clicking a specific agency status and selecting a new one :)

88

All of the non-standard metadata is stored in the EXIF UserComment field in an encoded format.

Is there any way to edit this data to mark images as submitted that I know for 100% positive have been submitted by SS, but SS failed to register this information on the image?

Shutterstock will reject duplicates, although it is not a great plan to send them many duplicate files. Better to sort out where you are with them and then start clean with M+

Yeah, that is a good idea.  I see that M+ syncs back information to SS about the stats of images.  That is good.  One my hugest battles is keeping track of what has been uploaded and what has not because I have such inconsistent results using SS. I think I am going to like using M+ a lot better.

I have another question.  If I am running SS on a desktop and a laptop (for travel) will M+ sync the stats of images with both installations if they are logged into the same account?  For example.  Say I am traveling and capture a bunch of images that I upload with my laptop.  When I get home I always back up my images to my desktop for safekeeping and long term organization.  Then say, I open this folder of images that were uploaded to M+ on my laptop in my Desktop SS app, will they show the same status as the images in M+?  Is that status information (i.e. ready, uploaded, submitted) stored locally in the image metadata?

All the status information is stored locally in the image metadata, yes. In JPEG previews, specifically.
So if you have a video (for example) on two devices and want to copy the status information and metadata from one of them to another - it's enough to copy the JPEG preview.

What section in the metadata is this information stored?

All of the non-standard metadata is stored in the EXIF UserComment field in an encoded format.

@thenatureguy

Yes, it's using exactly the same subscription model and they share the same accounts.
So you can use your SS account to log into M+.
They can also be integrated to keep using SS interface while the uploading and submission process is actually performed by M+ under the hood.
You can also sync the agencies login credentials and releases database from SS to M+.

123rf: if the files have _ready_ status after uploading it means they were not really uploaded - there was some error that you can check using the "Errors" button.

92
And one more question - what's the difference between StockSubmitter and MicrostockPlus, why do you run two platforms? Thank you!

Not all microstock contributors prefer the same way of doing things.
Everyone has their own workflow.
We try to offer a platform both to those who prefer to use a desktop app and to those who prefer a web-based app that's working on any device.
But essentially they're doing the same thing, what's different is where does the main "magic" happen - on your computer or on our servers.

93
Still cannot upload to Shutterstock.  The upload makes it to 25% and resets back to zero over and over again until it reaches the end of attempts and then creates and error.  Have not been able to upload a single image to SS, but I have no problem uploading to any other agency.

Does it show a Timeout error afterwards in the "Errors" button?
If so, please try increasing the FTP timeout in settings.

I upped the FTP timeout to 120.  No good.  I also downloaded Xpiks and used it to upload to Shutterstock with no issues.  So, logically, since I can upload to any other agencies with SS, the issue appears to be with the way SS talks to Shutterstock.

StockSubmitter is uploading photos and vectors via their website by default.
You can enable the FTP mode in settings (Manage agencies -> Shutterstock)

You keyword, upload to them and they handle the uploading end of it. Does a service like this exist?

If so and if there are multiples any suggestions on the most reasonable price wise?

Microstock.Plus does exactly that AND in addition it will also automatically fill all the fields at the agencies websites after uploading, attach releases and send the files for review so you won't have to do anything except pressing the "Upload" button after tagging your images.
It will also track approval status (for 3 agencies for now - Shutterstock, Adobe, Dreamstime, but the list will be expanding soon).
Do you offer keywording service? Is that what tagging stands for? And how does it work? Or do you have something like keywording tool from Microstockgroup? Thanks!

We've integrated couple of existing keywording services.
The most popular one is IMStocker.
We're planning to add more in the future + an AI based automatic keywording that will be using neural networks and image recognition.

We carry on our duty no matter what!

Hey everyone! Can't manage my AdobeStock agency. I'm trying to log in with my correct email and password but there is "error (Hashing error #-47)" appears. Please help me to activate my AdobeStock account.

It means you've used too many different passwords with your AdobeStock account and triggered a brute force protection.
Please try changing password to one of the passwords used before.

MicrostockSubmitter / Re: filter
« on: April 07, 2020, 04:46 »
How do I filter by Agency in M+, as you can in StSub ??

can't see it ???

It's not yet implemented in M+, unfortunately :(
It's planned though!

Thank you for that detailed response.  I do appreciate you taking the time to try to answer my concerns.  I hear what you are saying and I agree with you on much of it.  The thing that bothers me is that, I simply don't have any of these problems with any other program, just yours. But then again, yours is the only stock uploader app I have tried.  So, I guess I should try some others to see if they have all these problems too, then I would know that it is an industry level problem and not a programming issue.

I do have one question though.  I understand that browsers use cookies so that you do not have to log in and like a new user each time.  My question is, why don't you use cookies to accomplish the same thing?

1. There are no other automatic submission programs in the market just because it's a very complicated and hard to support thing to implement. Most of the agencies do not provide any fixed APIs so we have to basically emulate a browser and update the program every time they change something on their website (even if those are some underlying changes that you don't see directly in your browser). Sometimes it takes few days to rewrite significant parts of code for it to work with an agency after changes on their website.
There are some apps that can _upload_ to agencies but that's a completely different level of network activity - they do so only via FTP so basically they act as a FTP client that's suited to work with microstock agencies only. And that's much less suspicious to the antivirus software (did you ever see a virus that would only upload files by FTP and not send any HTTP requests to web servers?... I didn't).

2. We totally do! Otherwise it wouldn't work at all.
So once you authenticate in StockSubmitter on a microstock agency website we keep those cookies and try to use them as long as possible.
We only ask you to authenticate again when the agency server redirects us to the login form instead of showing the page we've requested or returns an "401 Unauthorized" error or a similar one.

Items show as Approved in StockSub, but Rejected in M+  ????

Which do I believe ??   M+  I'm guessing !?

This is for Shutterstock and Dreamstime in particular !

Hmm M+ is a more reliable source because it's synced from M+ to SS.
To be honest I have no idea how could that even happen... Did you have that item previously approved?
