I received the same email, next day a massive sale for 35c! That's less than SS. Opted out straight away and had another 35c sale the day after. The cut on these distributor sales is 15% even thought 500px said it would be a 1/3 even split. How things have changed.
Then logically, it means you work only with SS and not with IS and their 0.28 or less (!!), not with FT/AS with their ~0.31, etc. Or logic doesn't apply here?
FYI, my 500px RPD is $26.69 (distributor sales included), averaged over a 3 digits number of sales, not far from my Alamy net RPD of $28.38 (distributor sales included), made from a similar number of sales.
I can bet your SS RPD is roughly 30 times lower!
And don't make me start with iStock! 
So where is the logic? 
And where is that 15% coming from? You know it for a fact or it's only a speculation?
Bottom line, this negativity is not rational.
FRom 500px site - If for instance they were to license an image for $250.00 to their client in Japan, the royalty breakout would be: Initial sale price - $250.00 Amanas share - $125.00 500px & Photographer share - $125.00 Then, based on the individual photos Representation Rights (Exclusive or Non-Exclusive) the Photographer share is either: Exclusive - $75.00 (60% of $125.00) Non-exclusive - $37.50 (30% of $125.00)37.50 is 15% of the original 250 Seller gets 125 500px gets 87.50 We get 37.50 Way of the world.

They were good the whole summer for me, doing better than SS at certain periods and then suddenly silence

Still use it occasionally to sell and overall it's been ok except for a few awkward buyers! I've bought cameras, lenses, laptops, mac desktops and even the car I still drive now! The thing that stops me selling expensive items are the crazy fees (17% if the buyer uses paypal, which for me is every time).
It's what happens when you have a virtual monopoly, fun and profit for the user takes a nosedive.

Odd... I don't have that many sales either, but culling your portfolio is just weird. How long have you been a contributor and how many images did you have?
I think it was about 4 years and had close to 2,000 images. I'm not really bothered about getting kicked out as they never sold for me anyway but what I don't like is the way certain agencies expect top quality work but pay bottom dollar. We're all responsible for this situation but the people who worked hard and made them what they are deserve a little more respect (and renumeration!). The industry is changing and, as always, it wont be the contributors who benefit.

Aug 16 - We hereby inform you that due to unusually low sales your account on Stockfresh is now cancelled and all your images were removed from the site.
Anyone else or is it just me! No great loss.

Files now accepted. Keywords that were previously rejected...
country, dirty, faded, flag, identity, nationality, surface, aged, old, nation, symbol, weathered, brick, wall, brick wall, France, French, red, blue, white, France flag, French flag, wall flag,
You can probably imagine the unoriginal image.
Just wondered if phrases were the problem for certain reviewers.

Keywords -- Irrelevant keywords were used or your keywords were not in English.
Uploaded 3 files 3 times, each time deleting keywords! There's only real English words left. Any ideas why? Previous files with almost identical keywords were accepted and this is driving me nuts! Being able to add a message to submissions like we used to would be so much simpler.

over a year for me, the Alamy lottery is a lot more fun. (although the monthly total from SS usually beats it)
To me Alamy is like winning a lottery and waiting months to get paid...
Then getting it refunded after 4 1/2 months!!

Zoomis go down every month because they show only for certain period. So zooms go down at the beginning of every month, jesus.

That's it Zalee and Jo Ann, I didn't realise it was just the last 12 months! I thought the zooms total was added continually from the day I joined. The views figure hasn't gone down though!
