There is a SS page listing the ones they accept. Have the agencies been accepting your Google doc?

General Stock Discussion / FTP settings for Yay and CS« on: January 23, 2018, 22:33 »
I recently had to reset Stockuploader and redo the agency information. Since then, it hasn't been able to upload to Yay or CS. Was there anything extra or specific in the FTP information one needs to input for these agencies?
Neither is worth going to the trouble of submitting to outside of automated uploads. 55
General Stock Discussion / Re: Anyone selling something on storyblocks ???« on: January 23, 2018, 22:01 »Have you checked this site out? It describes the 16 best agencies to submit to with clips. Agencies new to me and worth investigating. "16 Best Stock Video Sites Thatll Make Your Clients Happy " - It's a list of the best agencies to buy from not to submit to. Good options nonetheless. Does SS automatically send to RocketStock? 56

It might affect your best-selling clips too. VB appear to push their owned content to the top of searches , so if your best-selling content has similar in their content, yours might get pushed down in searches. DISCLAIMER: This is based on my personal observation and may or may not be true)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Workflow for multiple agencies« on: December 20, 2017, 22:30 »
I just had a hard drive crash and sorting out the pitfalls of backing up to an external drive. backing up to another internal drive makes a lot more sense as an additional backup. I tend to forget the plug in the right USB drive as I have 3 in rotation for various backups.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Question about model release around the world« on: December 20, 2017, 22:18 »
To be safe, use the forms in the language of the country. Some agencies specify that. Some also want the original language translated into English too on the MR (Only DT, so probably not worth the effort.)

Bigstock.com / Re: BS Payment Stolen« on: December 12, 2017, 22:11 »
OK, maybe not that efficiently. The money was back this morning and I could request a proper payout. But when trying to log in again I got:
Login failed due to administrative reason. For customer service assistance, please contact 001-xxx-xxx-xxx. I understand that they have security concerns, but earnings on BS are not worth making international calls for. 61

I got BS e-mails in Russian and when I logged in I saw they were payment notifications. My account has been hacked and payment info changed to a Money Bookers account. I've informed BS and waiting to hear from them. I suggest others check their payout details on BS.

I also couldn't find any useful information about this. But when I filed my taxes this year I asked the person at the tax office and they said it was very unlikely I'd be able to claim the tax back.

General - Stock Video / Re: About Nimia. Is there anyone to use this agency ?« on: October 04, 2017, 22:00 »
Longwinded tagging process and no sales. I stopped uploading there last year.
In addition at some point they followed IS and made 4K clips the same price as HD. 68

Shutterstock.com / A reference image is required for this image« on: September 14, 2017, 01:13 »
I got rejections on SS and BS for silhouette photos with the note:
"A reference image is required for this image." What is required for the reference image? The photos were taken to use as silhouettes, hence lit suitably. So the originals look pretty much the same (Maybe 5% more shadow detail but not enough to make any details out). 70
Adobe Stock / Re: Evermotion 3d scenes rendering on Adobe Stock (and other stock sites)« on: August 17, 2017, 22:33 »
I e-mailed one company whose renders I wanted to use as backgrounds to ask them about using renders as stock and to clarify the wording in their Licence Agreement which did not address re-selling directly. Their response was to "read the Licence Agreement." Super helpful.

A microstock equivalent of Trip Advisor would be a site where contributors could donate their photos for free for the site to monetize and repay the contributors with patronizing "Achievement" awards.

I found this interesting as I've never seen anybody mention it before:
"[Brazil is] more difficult they have rules about models, and if you do a shoot there they want you to have armed guards with you." This is from an interview with Monkey Business. Has anyone encountered this in Brazil? 74

It looks to me like this image of mine has just had the watermark on her removed. The diagonal lines on the background look like the leftovers of an agency's watermark. What do you think?
