If it will go on like this the only chance how to take photographs of architecture will be building of my own city.

New Sites - General / Re: Odd sale at VectorStock« on: March 22, 2011, 03:53 »
I found this: Vectors are priced in 4 categories depending on the type of illustration, design and license option. Note: Not all files have Expanded license options. 1 Credit = $USD1.
1 credit Standard license or 25 with Expanded license 3 credit Standard license or 50 with Expanded license 5 credits Standard license or 75 with Expanded license 10 credits Standard license or 100 with Expanded license Your sale is probably "25 with Expanded license" - (25% out of 25 USD is 6.25) I would like to know where rejected files at VectorStock go and see reason of rejection. This site is bit confusing. 628

Illustration - General / Re: Best selling VECTOR sites?« on: March 19, 2011, 12:23 »
I didn't want to upload to Vectorstock because of low commissions and high payout. But then I wanted to try and I had few downloads with only eight images online. Now I have cca 100 images there and it looks that I will reach payout on Christmas. It's not that bad - with a few thousands of images it could be interesting.

Yes. I'm tired of it. These images are on Pixmac as well - I don't know how long it will take to 123 to remove them. But on Pixmac I can see author at least.

I'm bad accountant but this seems so be just crazy. My country has a tax treaty or how it is called with U. S. and I have already sent my Declaration of Taxes for 2010 to authorities.
I doubt that authorities are so open minded and do not care that my total income is just some approximate figure because I do not know how much I made at Zazzle because they solve taxation of my US income with one year delay. 635

No, compared to Veer, PantherMedia or 123rf these days they are fast like ninja.
Edit: It seems that if you say "ninja" your images at 123 are approved within hour. 638
CanStockPhoto.com / Do you sort images to categories?« on: March 14, 2011, 07:41 »
I would like to ask whether you sort images after approval to categories or leave them as they are?
Do you think it helps to sell and it is worth extra time spent on it? Thanks for your opinions. 639

Illustration - General / Re: What is wrong with this vector?« on: March 08, 2011, 03:50 »
I have same problems when saving in CS5, looks like you use CS 3 but problem is absolutely same. I tried to discuss it with SS and then it worked well for short time (they wrote "problem solved - no more glitches") but it's same again. Unfortunately the only way that works for me reliably is opening file in old AI10 software, copy image to blank document and save.
I think that there is something wrong in scripting of eps that says to their system that file is wrong. I know absolutely nothing about script but this "%ADOBeginClientInjection: DocumentHeader "AI11EPS"" looks strange to me. 642

It seems that number of visits does not correspond with sales. According to number of unique visitors 123rf would be agency no.3.

Illustration - General / Re: how to add IPTC into eps 8 file?« on: February 22, 2011, 07:20 »hello, guys: Most of agencies take EPS10 that include IPTC data and I had never problems with it (except past glitches at SS - when saved in CS5), so I'm not 100% sure, if data are taken from illustrator file or from preview . In fact - the only agency where I send eps8 is VectorStock - for them I export illustration directly from illustrator as JPG and IPTC data are kept. Then just crop preview in Photoshop to the required size and send it as they want with eps8 and it works. If you use "save for web" in Photoshop, don't forget to include Metadata (as default they are not included). But I have no experience with Crestock. 650
General Stock Discussion / Re: Photographers beat Microstock« on: February 22, 2011, 06:53 »
Mr. Barton probably thinks that more expensive photos = higher income for poor and exploited artists.
I think that more expensive photos = much more stolen photos and no income for no more exploited but even poorer artists. |
