hello, guys:
I have some problem adding IPTC data into my EPS 8 files. everytime when i type keywords ..etc into my file by illustrator cs4 and click ok to save it,it shows nothing when i reopen the file .how to deal with this issue,i mean when i save as ai then its ok ,i can read the IPTC data but eps don't!!
thanks!!
Put your IPTC data to Photoshop preview file. It works for most of the agencies.

Edit: sorry, it did not show anything strange on MAC.
Edit: there was direct link to hi-res Shutterstock image.
admin edit: edited out the live link as there may be nasty bugs on that website.

Everybody's so happy about approving at Canstock. But speaking generally - I have to say that what has helped me most were rejections at Shutterstock. I'm very occasionally photographer - 95% of my images are vectors. Thanks to rejections I completely change my view of what is and what is not out of focus, made me work with white balance seriously etc. At the moment when I finally get through Shutterstock initialization I had 300 images at other stock (not Canstock) - being happy that I am photographer "good enough for microstock". Fortunately none of these snapshots were ever sold. Fortunately - because idea that somebody would pay for and enlarge this blurry picture of something with violet edges became my nightmare. So. I love having 98% approval ration anywhere (speaking generally not CS) but frankly - are we that sure that all of these images really do deserve approval? If you are sure - good for you. Fair rejections just help me progress much more than having 10k portfolio full of unsalable .... Howgh.

Site looks great at first sight. I wish it would be the same with approval times.

I tried this question on "general stock discussions" but I had not answers so I try here. I have your same question but fot illustrations (no vectors). Is ClipartOf good for illustration like this (to give you an example...):
and vectorstock is only for vectors? I love Shutterstrock and I feel very well there but...only there. I'd like to find another good illustration's stock.
p.s. Like you can see I'm not english
Vectorstock is for vectors only. And I think that ClipartOf does not accept new contributors at the moment. Maybe you could try to sell prints at DeviantArt.

Sorry but I virtually left microstock after SS/BigStock banned me for no explanation and even no reply, owing me far over 1000$. So this reply is a bit late.
They must have had an eye for a while on these creative practices to be sure and gather enough evidence. You:So far it seems to me that it was a matter of few days. I guess that if it was being watched for longer period of time we would be notified sooner that we have a bug there.
Me: yes they caught you red-handed, as it seems.
The elephant in the room, the caching, was ignored once again. Can we cut the cr@p about "transparency" and just get that huge Colossal beast out of the room? There's a blogpost about its extent and technical description above in the discussion. Just thinking:
The whole microstock business is based on trust. And the trust is really fragile. We did a mistake, we investigated it, we posted a message about what exactly happened as soon as we could. But that is not enough. The problem when being an agency is that there's no way to communicate 'the honesty' or 'the fairness' to the contributor. You can write press releases, you can try to post open reactions on forums, you can meet people from the industry to show yourself and your intentions. But when you make a mistake it turns against you.
Installing a cache system allowing buyers to download an image X times without reporting it to the agent is frankly said theft. Cache systems don't get programmed and deployed just by mere accident: it's deliberate. I still see the elephant in the room but I don't expect it to disappear any more. You've ruined it
I have been called a "racist" stating "east of Berlin, there is no copyright". I believe it more than ever now. Please dear God, give us back that beloved iron curtain.
I wouldn't call it racist, I could find more suitable word. I do live couple kilometers east of Berlin and don't feel like thief. Your words are very very - gently said - unpolite and made me rather angry. If it was supposed to be joke - it wasn't a good one.

I think that Apple's iWeb is good enough for simple site with galleries, links, videos etc.. And very quick to make. Negative is that there are not too many templates available, so you won't be too original.

still no "new upload"?
I would like to have an answer too...
Come on now, guys - it's only been 19 months since the first announced it
If, no, make that when it's released, it will be the most extensively tested piece of software ever...
Remember Exxon Valdez iStock. Sometimes it's better to spend couple years with testing.

Does anybody have some approved images at GLO in last 24 hours? My images even didn't appear in "pending" yet - I used web site's upload, not ftp.
Yes. Please read my previous reply above.
Sorry for misunderstanding - I meant that they didn't appear in my "upload queue" folder. I re-uploaded them now and they appeared in few minutes. It seems that files uploaded right after yesterdays maintenance disappeared.

I have one year subscription in my dayjob. There were plans and breakdowns how to use every single download. Plans were broken three days later and average use is cca 30%.

It seems that partners get thumbnails without watermarks. But I think it would be wise if all the agencies would make the list of their partners available. There are so many places where we can find our images...

I love Shutterstock and I am really not happy about commissions decrease at Fotolia. But to be fair - Fotolia's revenue for subscription download is still higher that on SS. (..and for me personally RPD at Fotolia is 3 x higher) Seems that Shutterstock prepared long-term financial balance better than others. On the other hand - this gives me hope that Shutterstock will not follow iS and Fotolia.

It seems that domain "Fotolia.net" doesn't exist. Wasn't it some kind of phishing attack?

Very slow when uploading vectors for few last days.

I think that many of us have some particular agency that is not lucky for us though we do our best. I am at Canstock for few weeks and this month is for me better than Dreamstime so far. (Yes, I don't have a luck with DT but I won't give up.)

...and uploading of vectors is problematic any time. "Image being generated" message appears somewhere between one hour and one week. Sometimes forever.

50% of rejections of my files on Canstock is "Image contains invalid keywords, title, or description. Please ensure keywording is relevant and specific." There is a possibility to change them and resend file but it's quite difficult to find what keyword they found to be invalid.

I hope that this number of new photos is caused by Christmas and new year holidays. I had new images to upload in the end of December but waited with uploading for first week after holidays and I think that many contributors did same.
